kammaḷ (So. കയ്മള്‍) 1. Strong, heroic persons (= കര്‍മ്മി). 2. Sūdra Lords, as of Pu/?/awāy, Nēriōṭṭu ഇല്ലത്തു മൂത്ത കൂററില്‍ കമ്മള്‍സ്ഥാനം TR. 3. call of low castes to Nāyers, applying a., to all (Kurumbranāḍu) b., to lower Nāyer-castes only (Kaḍuttanāḍu).

koṇṇụ (C. bent) T. M. 1. prob. Mountain declivity, N. pr. of the Chēra or Kēraḷa country, esp. the country about Coimbatoor (similar കുടകു). 2. Bauhinia variegata. Hence: കൊങ്ങന്‍ = ചേരന്‍ a M. കൊങ്ങന്‍ കോഴി = ജാതിക്കോഴി. കൊങ്ങാഴി (see കൊങ്ങാ), a measure of 2½ നെല്ലു. കൊങ്ങുചക്കു AR. a peculiar oil-mill (as about Coimbatoor). കൊങ്ങിയന്‍ N. pr. a caste (86 in Taḷiparamb/?/).

kouγa, കൊയ്യുക T. M, C. Te. To cut; to reap, crop, mow (No. മൂരുക). കണ്ടത്തിലു ളള നെല്ലു കൊ. TR. മകരവിള കൊയ്തുകൊണ്ടു, വിള കുടിയില്‍ കൊയ്തിട്ടു വരിക MR. VN. I. കൊയ്യല്‍ Palg. So. reaping. (തേങ്ങ —, ചക്ക — നെല്ലുകൊയ്യല്‍); ഇടക്കൊയ്യല്‍ = അകാലമായതു (Comp. കൊയില്‍ 2.). II. കൊയ്ത്തു reaping; — കാരന്‍, കൊയ്ത്താള്‍ reaper; — കാലം‍ harvest; കൊയ്ത്തരുവാള്‍ sickle. — കൊയ്ത്തു പിടിക്ക, കൂടുക harvest to begin, to be over. CV. കൊയ്യിക്ക get reaped, വിള കൊയ്യിപ്പാന്‍ പോയി MR.
