Hence: കൂടയന്ത്രം a trap. കൂടസാക്ഷി = കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷി. കൂടസ്ഥന്‍ 1. standing on the top, God. 2. (phil.) inhabiting മായ; the soul of the world. കൂടോപദ്രവം, vu. കൂടോത്രം Vl.2. sorcery. കൂ. ചെയ്ക to bewitch, ഒഴിക്ക to counteract charms.

kāδam (C. Te. Tu. ഗാവദം) A Coss, = 4 നാഴിക or 4 കൂവീടു CS. about 5 English miles. Some take it to be = യോജന, CS. others = ½ യോജന. The distance from Gōcarṇa to knyā- kumāri നൂറററുപതു കാതം നാടു KU. കാതം നടന്നു മെയി തളര്‍ന്നു TP. having walked a good bit. ആയിരക്കാതം താഴത്തു കാണായി KumK.
