Smell, odour. മൂക്കടെച്ചു ഗ. അറിയരുതാതേ ഇരിക്ക a med. അവിടെ മുറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ കെ. അറിയരുതു MM. 2. smelling substance അഷ്ടഗന്ധങ്ങളെകൊണ്ടു ധൂപിക്ക Nal. ഗ. കൊളുത്തുക to season food.—In VCh. the scents are 9: ദുര്‍ഗ്ഗന്ധം, സുരഭി, കടു, മധുരം, സ്നിഗ്ധം, സംഹതം, രൂക്ഷം, നിര്‍ഹാരി, വിശദം. ഗന്ധകം brimstone GP. ഗന്ധതൈലം scented oil, ഗ'ങ്ങള്‍ വീഴ്ത്തി KR. on torches. ഗന്ധവഹന്‍, ഗന്ധവാഹന്‍ wind. denV. ഗന്ധിക്ക v. a. & n. to smell ഗന്ധിച്ചു ഗന്ധിച്ചു വന്നു കടിപ്പതിന്നു Bhr. അതു ഗ ന്ധിച്ചതില്ല തൊട്ടില്ല Bhr. I did not smell it. ഗന്ധോപജീവി KR. പരിമളവസ്തുവുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഗ'കള്‍ etc.
