čir̀aγụ T. M. (= ഇറകു) 1. A wing ചി. പരത്തുക, വീശുക MC. ചി. കുടഞ്ഞുതട്ടിക്കൂകി (a cock). — മല ചിറകററു വീണതുപോലെ AR. allusion to the myth of mountains having wings, till Indra cut them off. 2. the fin of a fish. ശ്രാവിന്‍ ചിറകു shark-fins. — the feather of an arrow; a piece of wood at the end of a canoe, etc. ചിറകന്‍ = മയില്‍, കൊക്കു‍ (huntg.) ചിറകിന്നടി the root of a wing.

čeḷukka (& ചേള q. v., 1. T. ചെ വുള്‍) No. Gills of fish. ചെളുക്കയില്‍ നാര്‍കൊ ണ്ടുവന്നു vu. 2. scales of fish, torn mat, etc. ചെളുക്ക എടുക്ക the skin to burst, as between the toes (fr. ചെള്ളുക).
