čilkāram & ചീ — S. (Onomat.) A scream.

čāδi Tdbh., ജാതി, as മററച്ചാതി വരിക യില്ല TR. Otherwise. ചാതിക്കാരന്‍ friend of both parties, mediator കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു ചാ'രര്‍ നിങ്ങളും Bhr. ചാതിക്കാരം പിടിക്ക, ഏല്ക്ക to adjust a quarrel; Seconds to part combatants, to prevent fighting. Bhr. ചാതിക്ക = ജാ —nutmeg.

čaḷi (C. Te. T. cold = തണ്‍) 1. T. So. Mucus (also semen, obsc.) 2. mud, mire; ചളിപ്പതം of mud consistency. ചളിക്ക T. V1. to grow mouldy, rotten. 2. (loc.) = ചലിക്ക. VN. ചളിപ്പു കൈവിട്ടങ്ങെടുത്തു കൈകളാല്‍ Bhr. (= ചലിപ്പു 2).

čaral (C. ചട്ടു, C. Te. ഗരസു) Gravel, also ചരക്കല്ല്. അവര്‍ക്കു രത്നം ചരക്കല്ലുപോലെ Si Pu. ചരക്കല്ലുകള്‍ വര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നു Bhg. in a whirlwind.—coarse sand ചരലില്‍ കിടന്നു RS. slept on the ground. ചരല്‍വഴി gravel path.

T. M. (Tu. C. കെസരു, Te. ക്രച്ചു) 1. Mire, dirt. ചേററില്‍ അടിച്ചാല്‍, ചേറുകണ്ടേ‍ So ചവിട്ടിയാല്‍ prov. 2. wet soil. കണ്ടം ഉ ഴുതു ചേറാക്ക to work the surface of a field into a slush preparatory to transplanting rice. ചേററില്‍ കുത്തിയ കൈ ചോററില്‍ കുത്താം (of field-labour). — ചേറാലേ കോരിക്കുടിപ്പിക്കും എ ന്നെ Anj. with unwashed hands. ചേ. പിരളു ക feet to become dirty. ചേറും മുടയും prov. ചേറും പൊടിയും തുടെച്ചു Bhg. കഴിഞ്ഞു പോ യ ചേറിനെ അധികം പറഞ്ഞു കലക്കുവാന്‍ to stir up old quarrels. 3. = ചേര്‍ 3.
