ńaḷuṇṇuγa (ചുളങ്ങുക, നടുങ്ങു) 1. To shake from damp, fear. 2. to speak diffidently. ഞളുക്ക (C. Te. T. ചളി cold & C. നണ്‍, Tu. നണ്ട) to be affected by cold or damp. മരു ന്നു, ഉപ്പു ഞളുത്തുപോയി, so also a pen, which grows too soft for writing. VN. ഞളുപ്പു, ഞളുപ്പം dampness. ഞള്ളു = ഞെഴുക a tree (med.), the leaves of which are used in തോല്‍ കെട്ടുക.

ńaraḍuγa B. To twist broken threads together (ചരടു).

ńaṇḍụ T. M. (Te. C. യ —, T. ന —) C. നള്ളി & ഏഡി, Tu. ഡഞ്ജി) A crab; kinds: വ യല്‍ —, പുഴ —, കടല്‍ —, കര —, etc.

B. ornament for a sword-hilt. 5. = ഞാലിപ്പൂട്ടു, see തുലാം. ഞാലികൂത്തു a meritorious Royal amusement. ഞാലിക്കൊടി No. a betel-vine let down occasionally for the leaves to be picked off. ഞാലി (& ഞേ —) ത്തല = ഞാലി 2. of pepper-vine (cut & planted). ഞാലിപ്പൂട്ടു the weight-apparatus of the watering machine B.
