ńeṇṇuγa (C. നെഗ്ഗു) & ഞ — (C. നള to be mellow) 1. To become soft or mellow, malleable as gold. 2. to yield, sink. ഞെക്കുക (V1. ഞെള്‍ക്കുക = ഞെരുക്കു) 1. to press, strangle (Tu. നുക്കു). കഴുത്തു ഞെക്കുന്ന ദേ ഹരോഗം a. med. പിടിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഞെക്കീടാ ഞ്ഞാല്‍ prov. 2. to squeeze, crush, നഖ ത്തില്‍ ആക്കി ഞെക്കിക്കൊന്നു (a louse); to make impressions with the thumb. ഞെക്കിപ്പ ഴുപ്പിച്ച പഴം പോലെ prov.; ഞെക്കിനോക്ക.

ńeruṇṇuγa (T. C. Tu. Te. നെ —) To be pressed, thronged, straitened. കുടിയാ ന്മാര് ഞെരുങ്ങിപ്പോകും‍ TR. VN. ഞെരുക്കം (— രി —) straits, tightness; poverty. അരിക്കു കുറേ ഞെ'മായി, ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്ക ഞെ. തന്നേ ആകുന്നു TR. difficulty. രാത്രി പോവാന്‍ ഞെ. TR. not safe. a. v. ഞെരുക്കുക, ക്കി To press, compress, constrain, threaten. നികിതി തരേണം എന്നു ഞെരുക്കി TR. (= മുട്ടിച്ചു).— നേര്‍പറവാന്‍ ഞെ.

ńāṇal (T. നാ — C. Te. fr. നാന്‍ = ന ന) A reed തീരേവാഴും ഞാ'ലില്‍ Sk. = ശരം.

ńaraṇṇuγa T. Tu. M. (C. Tu. ന —) To grumble, groan ഒന്നു ഞരങ്ങീതും ഇല്ല. Bhr. — VN. ഞരക്കം moan, groan.

ńeḷḷụ T. M. Imitative sound = ഞെട്ടു; bamboos splitting in a wrong direction ഞെളളി പോയി.

ńēluγa (C. Tu. നേ —, C. ജോലു) To hang as an ornament, to be dejected, ഞേന്നു മരിക്ക = ഞാന്നു; കക്കുവാന്‍ പഠിച്ചാല്‍ ഞേലു വാന്‍ പഠിക്കെണം prov. v. a. ഞേത്തുക, better ഞേററുക To let dangle, as a ചെണ്ടു tassel. കുട്ടിയെ ഞേത്തി ക്കൊണ്ടു നടക്ക to carry negligently. മുണ്ടു ഞാ ത്തി (So.) or ഞേത്തി (No.) ഉടുക്ക to wear the cloth down to the ankles. ഞേററം, vu. — ത്തം ornamental hangings (= ഞാലി). ഞേറല്‍ No. = ഞാറല്‍ ഞൊങ്കു = ചൊങ്കു, 2. a crooked hand. ഞൊങ്ങണം see നൊ —.

ńār̀ụ (C. T. Te. നാറു, Tu. നേജി) 1. = നാറു What rises above ground, young plant fit for transplanting. ഞാര്‍ പെയ്ക, ഇടുക, പാകുക to sow, നടുക to transplant them. ഞാര്‍ ആററി പോയി thrives. ൩ കണ്ടം ഞാറ ഉഴുതു നഷ്ടം വരുത്തി ഞാറ പറിച്ചു ഉഭയത്തില്‍ ചിന്തി MR. 2. = ഞായറു as കന്നിഞാററില്‍ TR. (doc), കുന്പ ഞാററിക്കും (= എറിക്കും) വെയിലുംകൊണ്ടു TP. ഞാററഉകാല (l) a piece from which rice plants are removed B. ഞാററുതല (2) the time of a constellation f. i. തിരു വാതിരഞാ. in the beginning of Mithuna, best time for planting. അത്തംഞാ. feast in Kanni. ഞാററുനില (2) see ഞായററുനില; also ഞാററു വട്ടം B. ഞാററുപട്ടി, — പറന്പു, — പൊററ (higher than പളളിഞായല്‍) nursery for rice plants (& ഞാ ററുഴം, ഞാററുകെട്ടി).
