ńaḷuṇṇuγa (ചുളങ്ങുക, നടുങ്ങു) 1. To shake from damp, fear. 2. to speak diffidently. ഞളുക്ക (C. Te. T. ചളി cold & C. നണ്‍, Tu. നണ്ട) to be affected by cold or damp. മരു ന്നു, ഉപ്പു ഞളുത്തുപോയി, so also a pen, which grows too soft for writing. VN. ഞളുപ്പു, ഞളുപ്പം dampness. ഞള്ളു = ഞെഴുക a tree (med.), the leaves of which are used in തോല്‍ കെട്ടുക.

ńāluγa (T. നാ —; see ഞേലു —;) To hang, swing അണ്ണാക്കില്‍ ഞാന്നു Nid. തോലും ഞാന്നുകൊണ്ടു Bhr. of an old man. വൃക്ഷശാഖ മേല്‍ കെട്ടി ഞാന്നു ചാവതിന്നായി Mud. to hang oneself. തല ഞാന്നു പോയി (half cut off). ഞാലി 1. suspended. ഞാലിക്കാതൊരുവള്‍ക്കു KR. hanging ear. 2. a hanging tendril of the pepper-or betel-vine കൊടിയുടെ ഞാലി ഇടിച്ചു പിഴിഞ്ഞ നീര്‍ a. med. — also a branchroot. 3. the common betel-vine; കൊടിഞ്ഞാലി (p. 302) വെററില No. a kind trained on trees. 4.
