ńāṇal (T. നാ — C. Te. fr. നാന്‍ = ന ന) A reed തീരേവാഴും ഞാ'ലില്‍ Sk. = ശരം.

ńeṭṭuγa (fr. ഞെട) 1. To start up, tremble ഞെട്ടിയുണര്‍ന്നു CG., TP. 2. to crash, burst. ഏപ്പു ഞെ. V1. to become disjointed, ദി ക്കുകള്‍ ഞെട്ടുമാറു Bhr., അകതാരിടം ഞെട്ടിതി രിഞ്ഞു കരഞ്ഞു Bhg. (= ദിക്കു ഞെട്ടി). ഞെണ്ടാഴക്കു V1. = 1/32 Nā/?/i. ഞെമന്‍ aM. = യമന്‍ (ഞേ. കോയില്ക്കല്‍ ന ടത്തും RC.).

ńamuṇḍnγa (C. നവുടു to rub) To squeeze; knead, f. i. rice with curry as Brahmans do in eating. പാലില്‍ പുഴുങ്ങി ഞമുണ്ടി a. med. (also ഞമിണ്ടുക No.; see ഞെവിണ്ടുക). ഞമ്മള്‍ Mpl. = നമ്മള്‍.

ńaraṇṇuγa T. Tu. M. (C. Tu. ന —) To grumble, groan ഒന്നു ഞരങ്ങീതും ഇല്ല. Bhr. — VN. ഞരക്കം moan, groan.

ńāluγa (T. നാ —; see ഞേലു —;) To hang, swing അണ്ണാക്കില്‍ ഞാന്നു Nid. തോലും ഞാന്നുകൊണ്ടു Bhr. of an old man. വൃക്ഷശാഖ മേല്‍ കെട്ടി ഞാന്നു ചാവതിന്നായി Mud. to hang oneself. തല ഞാന്നു പോയി (half cut off). ഞാലി 1. suspended. ഞാലിക്കാതൊരുവള്‍ക്കു KR. hanging ear. 2. a hanging tendril of the pepper-or betel-vine കൊടിയുടെ ഞാലി ഇടിച്ചു പിഴിഞ്ഞ നീര്‍ a. med. — also a branchroot. 3. the common betel-vine; കൊടിഞ്ഞാലി (p. 302) വെററില No. a kind trained on trees. 4. B. ornament for a sword-hilt. 5. = ഞാലിപ്പൂട്ടു, see തുലാം. ഞാലികൂത്തു a meritorious Royal amusement. ഞാലിക്കൊടി No. a betel-vine let down occasionally for the leaves to be picked off. ഞാലി (& ഞേ —) ത്തല = ഞാലി 2. of pepper-vine (cut & planted). ഞാലിപ്പൂട്ടു the weight-apparatus of the watering machine B. CV. ഞാലിക്ക. 1. ഞാലിച്ചുണ്ടൊരുവള്‍ക്കു ഞാലു ന്ന മുലയവര്‍ KR. of Rāxasis (rather frequentative). 2. = ചാലിക്ക, വിത്തു മുളപ്പിക്ക.

ńer̀i (C. Tu. നെരി) 1. Fold, tuck. 2. (T. M. നെറി) way. ദീനെ ഞെ. യായി നടത്തി Ti. = വഴിക്കേ properly. അവന്‍റെ കാര്യത്തിന്നു ന ല്ല ഞെറിയുണ്ടു = ചട്ടം, ക്രമം. (No.) ഞെറിക്കോവ flounces or frills of Ola or flowers round the head, neck waist of devil's-dancers in കെട്ടിയാട്ടം q. v. ഞെറിയുക (V1. also ഞൊ —; see നെറി) to plait, to tuck or fold a cloth, esp. as for idols ഞെറിഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്ക; women ചേല ഞെറി ഞ്ഞുടുക്ക V1.
