taṇ T. M. C. (Tu. സണ്‍, H. ṭhanḍ.) Cold. തണ്‍കുരുതി cold blood, bloody rain ത. കൊണ്ടു പൊഴിഞ്ഞാരമരര്‍ RC. തണുതണേ while cold, coolly. തണുവെള്ളം (loc.)=തണ്ണീര്‍. തണുക്ക, ത്തു 1. To grow cold, to be cool, ചാലത്തണുത്ത വൃക്ഷം CG.; ഹേ അഗ്നി ഹനു മാന്‍ ലാംഗുലത്തില്‍ നന്നായ്ത്തണുക്ക നീ (also ബാലധിക്ക) KR.; തണുത്തുപോയി too cool. ത ണുത്ത നീര്‍ Bhr. = കുളുര്‍ത്ത വെള്ളം. 2. to be refreshed, assuaged, softened കോപിച്ച കോ പം തണുത്തവന്‍ ചൊല്ലിനാന്‍ KR. അവനു മ നം തണുക്കും ഏററവും, സുഹൃത്തുകളെ തണുത്തു നോക്കി KR. (tenderly). VN. തണുപ്പു 1. coldness, ത. കൊടുക്ക cooling remedies for cattle. 2. moisture. 3 മന സ്സിന്‍ തണുപ്പു comfort, appeasing. tôṇgal (= തൊങ്ങല്‍). Drapery തോ' ലും തിരകളും Nal. മണിത്തോങ്കല്‍ SiPu. of a bed; plumage, pendulous ornament ഉമ്മത്തവും തോ'ലും തിരകളും Bhr. പീശ്ശാങ്കത്തിയുറയുടെ തോങ്കല്‍ a tassel of leather-stripes, toothpick, etc. dangling from the sheath of a knife. (Chēranāḍu).

tand/?/ra S. (L. tædeo) Weariness, lassitude; also തന്ദ്രി f. i. തന്ദ്രിയെ കളയേണം മന്ത്രി എ ന്നിരിക്കിലോ VCh. തന്ദ്രാലു S. sluggish, sleepy.
