tekkal So. (തെഗ C. to take off, Te. തി ഗുചു) Skimming. തെക്കി എടുക്ക to skim off. തെക്കു കഞ്ഞി rice-scum.

tōṭṭa No. Palg. = ഓട്ടA hole, snake-hole; fr. തൊള്ള; see തോണ്ടുക 1.

I.takkuγa (C. to stumble) 1. To stammer, hesitate (തങ്ങുക 3., കക്കുക). തക്കി ത്തക്കിപ്പോക to go most cautiously. 2. to press on. തക്കിച്ചോദിക്ക to interrogate closely V1. മുലപ്പാല്‍ തക്കിക്കളക V2. to flow spontaneously. തല്‍പ്രയത്നേന — ദശാനനന്‍തക്കിനാന്‍ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു KR. continued to fight. 3. T. (C. Te. ദക്കു) to be obtained, hence ഒക്കത്തക്ക. (p. 173). II.

tīyaǹ, a M. തീവന്‍ (Port. Fr. Tives) An islander, the caste of the palm-cultivators, toddy-drawers, sugar-makers, etc. The ൦രംഴ വര്‍ are in fact the same caste, & both are said to have come with the South-tree (തെങ്ങു) from Ceylon KU. — fem. തീയത്തി & തീയപ്പെണ്ണു TR. തീയര്‍ ആദിയായിട്ടുള്ള കീഴ്ജാതികള്‍ TR.; the caste rose in dignity by serving the English at Tellicherry. പുതിയ തീ. a Tīyar-bridegroom. തീയത്താളന്‍ an islander, (see തീവു). തീയന്‍ വാഴ the Maledive-plantain.

taḍastham S. (തടം) 1. standing on the shore, ത'മായി നോക്കുന്നവന്‍ a by-stander, neutral spectator. 2. mediation തടത്തം പ റക V1., അനന്തരവന്മാര്‍ തടസ്ഥം ചെയ്ക MR. 3. = തടസ്സു q. v. തടസ്ഥത പറക to arbitrate. തടസ്ഥത്വം mediation. ത. പറക, പിടിക്ക etc. ത. എന്നുള്ള മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം ഫലം ചെയ്കയില്ല Nal. തടസ്ഥന്‍ a neutral, mediator, juryman.
