ter̀ukka (T. to bruise) 1. v. a. To pull up the cloth, as when wading (തെരുക്ക); to roll up തിരി തെ. Tantr.; അരുവു തെറുത്തു കുത്തു ക V2. to hem; to stop water-courses. 2. v. n. (T. തെറുക) water to stand, to be dammed up. തെറുത്തു നോക്ക to fix one with the eye. തേരട്ട തെറുത്തു കിടക്ക MC. lies rolled up. CV. തെറുപ്പിക്ക to enclose water by dykes (= ചെറുക്ക). തെറുതെറുപ്പു = തെരുതെരുപ്പു (loc.)

toṇḍaǹ T.M. (തൊണ്ടു T. = തൊള്‍) 1. An old man. തൊണ്ടര്‍ തന്തതം വണങ്ങുമാറു രുവു തുയ്യപന്തിരിവരായിരിന്തനമഃ RC. the sun as worshipped by those of old. തൊണ്ടന്‍മൂരി. — fem. തൊണ്ടി. 2. a coward തൊണ്ടര്‍ ഉണ്ടാ കിലോ മണ്ടുവിന്‍ KR. (T. slave, കൊത്തിത്തൊ ണ്ടന്‍ Palg., a nickname of I/?/awars). 3. (തൊ ണ്ടു) having a thick skin or rind, as തൊണ്ടന്‍ പയറു. 4. N. pr. of males. തൊണ്ടാട്ടം aM. cowardice V1.

tirytak S. (തിരസ്സ് + അഞ്ച്) Moving across, in horizontal, not perpendicular direction. തിര്യഗ്ഗം, തിര്യഗ്യോനി Bhg. all animals.

tēṇṇa & തേങ്ങ, (തെങ്ങങ്കായി). A cocoanut, ൧ഠഠഠ തേങ്ങക്കു ൧ഠ ഉറുപ്യ വില ക ണ്ടു TR. (in 1798). The fruit has many stages ഇളന്നീര്‍, ഇളന്തേങ്ങ, പഴുത്തതു, വരണ്ടതു, കൊട്ട, കുരുത്തിട്ടതു GP 69. കരിക്കു, കൂരിത്തേങ്ങ. — Its parts: തേങ്ങക്കണ്ണു, — ക്കുടുക്ക, — നൈ, — പ്പാല്‍ (തേങ്ങാപ്പാല്‍ വൃഷ്യം GP.), — പ്പിണ്ണാ ക്കു (or — പ്പീര), തേങ്ങാവെള്ളം (തണുത്തുള്ളു GP.). — obsc. pudend. muliebre. — Kinds: അക്കില്‍വാരി — or കടല്‍ത്തേ.
