toil (C, Tu. സുലി, see തോല്‍; √ തൊല്‍ T. before) Skin; bark, peel, rind. അസ്ഥി രോ മം തൊലി ഇവ ചൊല്ലിയും നായാട്ടില്‍ കൊല്ലും KR. വേര്‍മ്മേലേത്തൊലി a. med. അത്തൊലി ത ന്നേ വിളന്പി CG. plantain-skins. തൊലിക്ക v. a. to skin, peel തൊലിപ്പുറം എടുക്ക V1.; ഉള്ളി തൊലിച്ചു കുത്തിയിട്ടു a. med.; ചാല ത്തൊലിച്ച വാഴപ്പഴങ്ങള്‍ CG. VN. തൊലിപ്പു peeling. തൊലിപ്പനരി V2. = വെ ളുപ്പിച്ച അരി (B. rice merely husked, not well beaten). തൊലിയുക n. v. to be peeled. തോല്‍ തൊലിഞ്ഞു പോയി the skin went off.

tôṇgal (= തൊങ്ങല്‍). Drapery തോ' ലും തിരകളും Nal. മണിത്തോങ്കല്‍ SiPu. of a bed; plumage, pendulous ornament ഉമ്മത്തവും തോ'ലും തിരകളും Bhr. പീശ്ശാങ്കത്തിയുറയുടെ തോങ്കല്‍ a tassel of leather-stripes, toothpick, etc. dangling from the sheath of a knife. (Chēranāḍu).

Bhr. തല തെ. V1. to cut off the head. വെ ട്ടുകള്‍കൊണ്ടു തലകള്‍ തെറിക്കയും Mud. കി ന്നരം തെ. V1. to play the lute. CV. തെറിപ്പിക്ക to make to bounce or splash, to cut off with one stroke, ശിരസ്സുകള്‍ വെട്ടി ത്തെറിപ്പിച്ചീടുവന്‍ KR. അവിടേനിന്നു തെ' ച്ചു got him dismissed. കൈ തെ'ച്ചു പാഞ്ഞു TR. escaped from their hands. മുണ്ടില്‍ ചോ ര തെ. TP. തെറിയന്‍an insolent, indecent person.

tuṇḍam S. (Te. C. തൊണ്ടം proboscis). Beak, snout, ജടായു തു'ത്തിനാല്‍ തുണ്ടിച്ചു KR.; തുണ്ഡാഞ്ചലം (comp. ചുണ്ടു). തുത്തം see തുത്ഥം.

tūšnīm S. (തുഷ്) Silently തൂ. സമാലം ബ്യ പോക നീ PT. — also shortened: തൂഷ്ണി ഭാവത്തെപ്പൂണ്ടു Bhr., തൂഷ്ണിയായ്ക്കീഴ്പെട്ടു നോക്കി Mud.
