tuḷasi S. (√ prec?) Holy basil, Ocymum sanctum GP 62. തുളസിച്ചോറു a. med. It serves, with Darbha-grass, for the funeral ceremonies of Brahmans. തു. മുതലായ അച്ചനാ പുഷ്പങ്ങള്‍ TR. — തുളസീദളവര്‍ഷവും കാണായി KumK. (from heaven). Kinds: കാട്ടുതു. Ocyraum adscendens, കര്‍പ്പൂര —, കൃഷ്ണ —, വെണ്‍ —, രാമ —, പെരുന്തു. Oc. polystachium, ശിവതു. Oc. tenuiflorum. തുളസീഭൂപന്‍ KM. the Tuḷu Rāja, (see തുളു). തുളസ്സല്‍ No. a kind of rice (middling).

tiṇṇam T. M. aC. (തിണ്‍) 1. Strength; stiff, tight. തി. പുടവ coarse. — adv. aloud തി. കുരെക്ക Bhr.; തി'ത്തില്‍പ്പറക; also distinctly കൂററു ഏകദേശമായി കേട്ടതല്ലാതേ തി. കേട്ടി ട്ടില്ല (jud.); തിണ്ണം വിളങ്ങുന്ന കുണ്ഡലം Nal. clearly. 2. quickly, suddenly, തി. ഓരശരീരി വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കായ്വന്നു Mud.; തി. ഒന്നഞ്ചും CG.; തി. ആയതു വേണം വൈകരുതു Mud. തിണ്ണെന്നു at once, തി. അണഞ്ഞു Bhr.; തി. ഉഴ ന്നിതുപാണ്ഡവന്‍,തി. കത്തിജ്വലിക്ക SG. — adj.തിണ്ണന്ന ഭക്തി RS. solid devotion. തിണ്മ solidity, സ്വര്‍ണ്ണൌഘം തന്നുടെ തിണ്മ യെക്കാണുന്പോള്‍, തിണ്മയിലുള്ള വന്മുസലം, ഗോക്കള്‍ തന്‍തിണ്മ CG. stoutness, fatness. — close texture.

(T. തെറുക) water to stand, to be dammed up. തെറുത്തു നോക്ക to fix one with the eye. തേരട്ട തെറുത്തു കിടക്ക MC. lies rolled up. CV. തെറുപ്പിക്ക to enclose water by dykes (= ചെറുക്ക). തെറുതെറുപ്പു = തെരുതെരുപ്പു (loc.)
