(for swimming). തറുതല T. So. No. low, trifling, fool-hardy, mischievousness. ത. പറക to speak indirectly, evasively. തറുതലക്കാരന്‍ a mischievous & fool-hardy man. തറുപ്പു V1. a brush. തറുവാങ്കം a. med. = സര്‍വ്വാംഗം.

tiraṭṭu T. M. (തിരള്‍) 1. Assemblage; abstract of accounts. മുളകു ചാര്‍ത്തി വന്ന ഒട്ടു ക്കുള്ള തി. TR. the sum total, also തിരട്ടു ക ണക്കു adding up a sum. കുറുന്തിരട്ടു a short abstract. 2. തിരട്ടുകഞ്ഞി, തി'കുളി etc., what refers to the first menstruation; (തിരട്ടുകല്യാ ണം = വയസ്സറിയിക്കും കല്യാണം). തിരട്ടുക 1. So. to ball up, (= തിരയു 1.). 2. തി രട്ടിവെക്ക to perform a ceremony for a girl of 5-6 years, in preparation of marriage (putting her aside, as if for the first menstruation).

tūpi = സൂപ്പി, Yusuph; any Māpla or bald-headed person, having no tuft of hair.

tuḷa T. M. C. (Te. തൊലി, Tu. തൊളു) A hole, bored hole. നന്നേ തുള ഉണ്ടാം a. med. (through cancer). തുളക്കാതന്‍, f. — തി a person with widely bored ears. തുളമാനം the size of a hole. തുളയന്‍ B. a fool. തുളവാരം the holes & faults of a thing or person, തുളാരം പറഞ്ഞു vu. v. n. തുളയുക To be perforated, തുളഞ്ഞു പു റപ്പെടും Bhg. — അര്‍ബ്ബുദം കവിളുടെ നടുവേ തു ളഞ്ഞു തുളഞ്ഞുണ്ടാം a. med. v. a. തുളെക്ക to perforate, pierce, bore മൂക്കു തുളെച്ച കാള an ox with a pierced nose. മൂക്കു തുളെക്കും VyM. pokes his nose, (sign of perplexity). tūγuγa T. M. 1. v. a. To strew, spill, shower (see തൂവുക), തൂകുന്പോള്‍ പെറുക്കരുതു prov.; അസ്ത്രങ്ങള്‍ തൂകിനാന്‍ AR. — (but also ഊഴി തൂകിനാന്‍ ചോരകൊണ്ടു Bhr. and with 2 Acc. കാശിഭൂപനേ ബാണങ്ങള്‍ തൂകീടിനാന്‍ Brhmd.) വെള്ളം ചോളം പൂവും തൂ. libation to demons. നെല്‍ തൂ.
