teḷḷuγa T. M. (തെള്‍) 1. To sift or winnow by casting up gently in a fan. (പൊ ന്‍) ഇടിച്ചുതെള്ളിക്കൊള്‍ക TP., a. med. to separate what is fine & coarse. 2, to jump, നെ ഞ്ഞത്തു, വയററില്‍നിന്നു തെ. to heave, pant, to be disturbed. VN. തെള്ളല്‍ winnowing. തെള്ളി 1. sifted powder. 2. sifted resin (= കീല്‍. V2.) CV. തെള്ളിക്ക to get sifted, as കുമ്മായം, കാപ്പി.

(തേയുക) 1. To rub, smear തേച്ചിരിക്ക (with oil). തേച്ചുകളി regular bath. കുഞ്ഞനേ തേച്ചുകളിപ്പിക്കുന്നു TP. (the bride). എണ്ണ മേല്ക്കു തേക്ക MM.; കൊങ്കകളില്‍ വിഷം തേച്ചു ചമെച്ചു CG.; ചേവടിയിലേച്ചേറ് എല്ലാം അമ്മയുടെ ചേലയില്‍ തേച്ചു CG. — so also to white-wash (കുമ്മായം), to paint. 2. to clean, polish, sharpen. തേയാത്ത പല്ലു Nid.; കൈക ളേ പനിനീരില്‍ തേച്ചു CG.; വെണ്ണീറിട്ടു തേ.
