Tdbh., സ്ഥലം (see തളിക) a dish, metal-vessel. പൊന്നിന്‍ താ. a golden salver on which kings offer their ദക്ഷിണ. താലപത്രം a palmyra-leaf rolled up & placed in the ear = കാതോല. താലപ്പൊലി (2) annual feast of Bhagavati, when girls offer in procession a large dish of rice with കഴുങ്ങിന്‍പൂക്കുല, തേങ്ങമുറി & അരിതിരി in order to get husbands. താലവൃന്തം a palm-leaf, used as fan KR. താലാങ്കന്‍ S. having the palmyra for a banner; Balabhadra CC.

taγaruγa T. M. (C. to detain) fr. ത കര്‍ T. C. Tu. Te. ram, male animal. — v. n. To be crushed, smashed മണ്കുടം പൊട്ടി ത., ഫലങ്ങള്‍ ഉടഞ്ഞു തകര്‍ന്നു Bhg., കാളകള്‍ കുത്തി തകര്‍ന്നിട്ടു ധൂളി എഴുന്നു CG. തകരന്‍ huge, powerful, as a man, boar, etc. തകരന്‍മഴ strong rain. v. a. തകര്‍ക്ക 1. To smash, crush, demolish കുംഭം തകര്‍ത്താന്‍ CC., ദ്വാരകയെ വാരിധി വന്നു തകര്‍ത്തു CG., നല്ല മതിലും കിടങ്ങും ത. SiPu 2., ശാല തകര്‍ത്തു Sah. 2. v. n. to be noisy, to play boisterously കുരങ്ങുകള്‍ ചാടി തകര്‍ക്ക PT. തകര്‍ത്ത അടി, മഴ, കലഹം a hot fray, etc. ത കര്‍ത്ത പണി എടുക്ക No. = തകൃതി to strain every nerve. ചില വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു ഫലങ്ങളും തകര്‍ക്കും CC. break forth in great number. VN. I. തകര്‍ച്ച breaking in pieces. II. തകര്‍പ്പു loud noise, great profusion. ശാക്തേ യത്തിന്‍റെ ത. the great day of šakti worshippers.

tumbi T. M. C. Tu. (Te. തുമ്മദ). A black beetle, flying at night. പൊന്നാന്തു. a cushlady. ആനത്തുന്പി loc. a large kind of dragon-fly. തു. പറക്കുംപ്രകാരം Bhr.; (a butter-fly MC.); തു. തുളെച്ച മുള a bamboo pierced by it & sounding like an Ӕolian harp, (തു. ത്തുള). Hence: തുന്പിക്കൈ T. M. C. (po. തുന്പിക്കരം ത ന്നേ തലോടി CG.) an elephant's trunk, lit. 'the sneezing hand'. തു. യോടുളവായ പൈതല്‍ Anj. Gaṇapati. തു. ചുരുട്ടും MC. (in running). തുന്പിത്താന്‍ V1. 2. & തുന്പിത്താരം B. a long trumpet, (see താര) = ൦രംററക്കുഴല്‍. തുന്പിപ്പച്ച a kind of Centaurium, which produces sneezing.
