tundam S. Belly — തുന്ദി navel. തുന്ദിഭന്‍ one, who has a prominent belly or navel, (=വയറന്‍ V1.).

tēva T. M. (Tdbh., സേവ?) Need. തേവില്ല or തേവയില്ല l. = വേണ്ട. 2. not quite (f. i. well). തേവിക്ക. — പഞ്ചതാര മേല്‍പ്പൊടിയിട്ടു തേ. a. med. = സേവിക്ക.

tiṭṭaδi, also ദിഷ്ടതി q. v. (തിട്ടു 2.). Straits, want പത്തു പണത്തിന്നു തി. ഉണ്ടു vu.; തി. ഉള്ളതു urgent, തി. പൂണ്ടുനിന്നു CG. in great perplexity. അവളെ തി. യാക്കിക്കണക്കില്‍ ഏ ററം CG. drove her nearly out of her wits.

taviḍụ 5. Bran തവിട്ടിന്‍റെ ഗുണം prov. Kinds: അരിത്ത. & ഉമിത്ത. തവിടുപൊടി = മലര്‍പൊടി. തവിട്ട B. a small brown snake = തവിട്ടുമണ്ഡലി? തവിട്ടുകാടി = ഉറക്കാടി 1., q. v. തവിട്ടുകിളി 1. = ത. കൊച്ച a bird. 2. a certain locust. തവിട്ടുണ്ട, തവിട്ടുപിട്ടു a friable bran-ball. തവിട്ടുനിറം greyish brown. തവിട്ടു പ്രാവു a turtle-dove.

taviruγa T. aM. To be put aside V1. തവിര്‍ക്ക V1. to exclude, omit (= ഒക്കഴി). തവിഴുക V1. to creep along, as തവിഴാമ (vu. തമി —) the spreading hogweed.

tuvaruγa 1. To grow dry, മഴതു.; V1. തുവര്‍ച്ച, (contr. No. തോര്‍ച്ച & often confounded with ചോര്‍ച്ച) fair weather. 2. (T. തുവന്‍റു = രൂരുക) to be filled up, as wells, etc. see തു കരുക. തുവര്‍ക്കുക T. M. = ചവര്‍ക്ക, (see തുവര്‍). തുവര്‍ത്തുക, (T. തുവട്ടുക, Te. ദുവ്വു) 1. to make dry, to wipe clean, കുളിച്ചു കയറി ഓന്‍ തോ ര്‍ത്തുന്നു TP. 2. So. to remove superfluous water out of a ricefield, (after sowing). തുവര്‍മ്മ V2. = തൂര്‍മ്മ. density.

tavaḷa T. M. C. Frog, chiefly in the grass. Kinds: സവികം & നി൪വ്വികം Tantr. (with a valuable മണി in the head). ചൊറിത്ത a toad; പച്ചത്ത. a small kind supposed to occasion the death of cattle, that swallow them. മരത്ത. a tree frog. taḷikka M. Tu. C. (T. തെളിക്ക) To sprinkle പാദം കഴുകിച്ച നീര്‍ കോരി ഭാരൃമാരെ തളിച്ചാന്‍ Mud.; ജലത്തിനാല്‍ ത. Bhr.; മരു ന്നു തളിച്ചു പുണ്ണില്‍ ഇടുക MM.; പനിനീര്‍ ക ട്ടില്ക്കല്‍ തളിച്ചു CG. to cleanse by sprinkling; തളിച്ചു കളി holy bathing. തളിച്ച തൂക്കയും കു ളിക്ക എന്നതും KR. 2. to sprinkle water with cowdung, as before a Royal procession മുന്നില്‍ ത്തളി, (തളി 3.). 3. to sprinkle milk to remove pollution after a case of death, as തിരു വന്തിള. CV. മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം അടിച്ചു തളിപ്പിക്കയും വേണം AR. getting the roads cleansed for a feast.
