(either the 4 താളി or തുടരി, ഞള്ളു, വെള്ളില, തുന്പ). തോലണ്ടി B. To trickle down as water not poured right out B. 2. വാല്‍ തററിരിക്ക MC. to put the tail between the legs, പേടിച്ചു വാലുംതററി മണ്ടിയേന്‍ SiPu. 3. to be tucked in before & behind (= താറു), തററുടുക്ക to put on clothes by tucking in as Nambūris, native women, etc. കുഞ്ഞനും തററിങ്ങുടുക്കുന്നു TP. (for swimming). തറുതല T. So. No. low, trifling, fool-hardy, mischievousness. ത. പറക to speak indirectly, evasively. തറുതലക്കാരന്‍ a mischievous & fool-hardy man. തറുപ്പു V1. a brush. തറുവാങ്കം a. med. = സര്‍വ്വാംഗം.

tōḷ T. M. Shoulder, Te. Tu. C. No. the arm, upper arm (prh. Tdbh., ദോഷന്‍ S. = ദോസ്സ്) വടികള്‍ തോളോളം നീളം ഉണ്ടു MR. തോളില്‍ ചുമക്ക (= ചുമല്‍), എന്നേ തോളില്‍ എടുക്ക Sil. തോളില്‍ തോക്കും വെച്ചു TR. വില്ലു വലന്തോ ളില്‍ വെച്ചു KR. തോളുഭു = Skanda, shoulder-born. Sk. തോളെല്ലു the collar-bone. തോള്‍ക്കെട്ടു a shoulder-joint വില്ലുധരിച്ചു തോ. മുറുക്കി KR. (also തോള്‍പൂട്ടു). തോള്‍പ്പലക the shoulder-blade തോ. മേല്‍ MM. തോള്‍മാല (— ണ്മ —) an ornamental chain worn around the neck & reaching to the breast. തോള്‍മാററം removing a burden from one shoulder to the other. തോള്‍വള a braoelet for the upper arm.

tuḍikka T. M. (തുടു) 1. To throb, quiver. തുടിച്ചധരവും ചുവന്നു കണ്ണുകള്‍ KR. in anger. വാമക്കണ്ണു തു. ഇടന്തോളും തു. KR. (bad omen). അവള്‍ക്ക് ഇടങ്കൈ തുടിച്ചിതു. KR. (good omen). മിടററിടെച്ചൊല്‍ തുടിച്ച ശൂ൪പ്പണക RC. with a voice stifled by emotion. — VN. തുടിപ്പു V1. palpitation. 2. to splash violently, പുഴയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിത്തു., നീന്തിത്തു. Bhg. 3. No. to protrude. തുടിച്ച അധരം a Negro lip. തുടിച്ച കണ്ണു CC. (of a toad-like demon). കണ്ണും മുഖവും കുടിക്ക to swell; കുമ്മായം തുടിച്ചിക്ക uneven plaster-work.

tari M. C. (see തരക്കു, തരു) 1. Grit, granule, sand ഒരു ത. മണല്‍ a grain of sand. ത. യുള്ള മണ്ണല്ല fine clay. വറുത്തു പൊടിച്ചു തരി പോക്കി ചൂര്‍ണ്ണമാക്കി Bhr. coarser bits, unbroken lumps. വെള്ളി ത. ഇട്ട കുട TP. 2. bit തരി പോലും ഇല്ല, ത. മാംസവും ഇല്ല PT. (of a bone) — bubble in water, as from a sinking stone. 3. rough, uncultivated (= തരിശു). നടത്തേണം തരിക്കിടക്കുന്ന രാജ്യം KR. to cultivate waste grounds. 4. astounding = തരിപ്പു. Hence: തരി എടുക്ക (1) to geld MC. (C. തരുടു scrotum). തരിതണം B. ringworm = തഴുതണം. തരിത്തട്ടു a roughly ornamented plate, ത'ട്ടില്‍ താളിയുമായി TP. തരിപ്പണം rice fried & pounded = മലര്‍പ്പൊടി f. i. ത. തൃപ്തിയെ വരുത്തും GP. (esp. for Mantrawādam). തരിപ്പലിശ a hollow shield enclosing pebbles, which is rattled chiefly in പലിശത്തട്ടുകളി. തരിപ്പിടിക്ക B. to granulate. തരിപ്പെടുക (4) to be astonished, കണ്ടാല്‍ ത' ന്നൊരു തുടകള്‍ Bhr. തരിന്പു (2) a little bit. തരിയില്ലാക്കുപ്പി (2) glass withont bubbles; an old tax on crystal glass KU. തരിവള a hollow bracelet with tinkling metal-beads enclosed. ത. യിട്ടു DN., കടകം ത. tōruγa = തുവരുക, as തോരയിടുക To air, dry നാവു തോര്‍ന്നു വലിക്കയും Nid. (in cholera). തോര 2. So.; തോര്‍ത്തു No. 1. a covering of the privities. 2. = തോര്‍ത്തുമുണ്ടു. തോര്‍ത്തുക see തുവര്‍ത്തുക. തോര്‍ത്തുമുണ്ടു cloth to wipe with (തോര്‍ത്തുക = തുവര്‍ത്തുക). തേങ്ങ തോ'ണ്ടില്‍, തോ'ണ്ടിന്തല ക്കല്‍ പണം കെട്ടി TP., ൨ചാലിയത്തോ.
