niγakka M. (Te. (vu. നേണു വരിക). VN. നികപ്പു 1. rising out of water. 2. filling up, levelling; sustenance ദിവസം കഴിപ്പാന്‍ നി. ഇല്ല. vu. v. a. നികത്തുക 1. to fill up, കുഴി നി. V1. 2. to level, നി'ന്നു ഭൂമി ചിലര്‍ KR. making a road. 3. to mend, perfect ഭക്തിയുള്ള ഭൃത്യന്‍ സ്വാ മിയെ നികത്തീടും PT.; കുറവുകളെ നികത്തി ത്തരുന്നു makes up all wants. സത്തുക്കള്‍ക്ക് ആപത്തു വന്നാല്‍ നി. niḍalam S. (= നെററി, fr. നിടു). The forehead, (നിടലക്കുഴി temples); gen. നിടിലം, as നിടിലത്തില്‍ വിയര്‍ത്തീടും VyM. നിടിലക്ക ണ്ണന്‍, നിടിലക്കനല്‍ Anj. (Siva's 3rd eye). — also നിടാലം (സുന്ദരനിടാലന്‍ KR.) നിട്ടാന്തം No. vu. = ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം.

(നേര്‍ 5) to be fine, നേരിയ. q. v. VN. നേര്‍ച്ച 1. vow. അവിടെ നേ. നേരല്‍ ഉണ്ടു (jud.). ആരണന്‍ പല നേ. തുടങ്ങി SG. during child-birth. ൦രംശ്വരന്മാര്‍ക്കു നേ. കൊണ്ടക്കൊടുക്ക KumK.; കാരക്കാട്ടു നേര്‍ച്ച യ്ക്കു പോയി TR. V1. fineness (നേര്‍ 5). നേര്‍ച്ചക്കാരന്‍ performing a vow. നേര്‍ച്ചമാടു, — കൂററന്‍ the vow of a bull to Siva, when a cow is sick etc. = ശിവനു നട അടെക്ക. നേര്‍ച്ചവഴങ്ങി വെക്ക No. 1. to taboo any thing vowed (നേര്‍ന്നിട്ടത്), if a coin നേ ര്‍ച്ചവഴങ്ങിക്കെട്ടി. 2. to break solemnly one's vow in order to procure an easy death to a dying person (നേര്‍ന്നതു സാധി ക്കാതേ മടക്കി എടുക്ക) superst. നേര്‍ന്നീടുക to rear up a dedicated animal. നേര്‍ന്നുകെട്ടുക to vow a coin & tie it to any sick part of the body till healed.
