pōḍuγa (T. to throw, strike, Te. C. pōṭu a stab, C. poḍe to strike). 1. (= ഇടുക, കളക). പോട്ടുക in കുറിപോട്ടുക to put a mark on the forehead (= ഇടുക). അതു ഭദ്രം പോട്ടി it was frustrated. പോട്ട a rush-grass, bulrush. So., പോട്ടപ്പുല്ലു (used for mats).
