puṇgaǹ So. A fool (പുല്‍? C. pukka, a coward).

pālaγaǹ S. & പാലന്‍ (പാ). A preserver, protector ദിക്പാ., നരപാ., ആ മ്നായ പാ. (= Brahman) Sah. പാലനം S. protecting, keeping, as പശുപാ. Bhr. denV. പാലിക്ക to protect, keep ഗോക്കളെ KR. to tend. മഹോത്സവം പാ. Bhr. മാമാങ്കം പാ. KU. ആശ്രമം പാ KU. pakšam S. (see പക്കം). 1. palli T. M. C. Tu. S. (f. of പല്ലന്‍, പല്ലു) 1. House-lizard, Lacerta Gecko; its voice (കര യുക, ചൊല്ക) is believed to announce visitors. എന്നാല്‍ പ. വിഷം തീരും a. med. 2. a fork (So.) പല്ലിത്തടി = പല്ലുതടി a rake. പല്ലിപ്പൂട V1. a herb.

paḍala T. M. (പടല്‍) 1. A cluster or comb of plantains. പ. വിരിഞ്ഞു the bunch has branched out, also എത്ര പടലം ഈ കുലയില്‍ (= ചീപ്പു). 2. (പടല്‍ 1.) a rough harrow (of ഇല്ലിക്കോല്‍). പ. വലിക്ക (Palg.), ഇടുക (Weṭṭ.) to harrow; met. എന്നെപ്പടലവലിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു പോയി he quarrelled with me & dragged me for some distance.
