pāppini (പാപ്പാന്‍) A caste of lower Brahmans, who purify Nāyars whilst their women sing at Nāyar marriages etc. (71 in Taḷipar̀ambu). പാപ്പുക്കോയില്‍ N. pr. = പറപ്പൂര്‍സ്വരൂപം (old).

parpaḍam S. (prh. പരപ്പു + അട) 1. A thin, crisp cake = പപ്പടം. 2. = foll. പ൪പ്പടകം S. seems = നൊങ്ങണം Hedyotis or Pharnaceum (Mollugo). ചന്ദനം പ. ചുക്കും a. med., ചുണ്ടെക്കും പ൪പ്പടത്തിന്നും ഗുണം സ മം GP.
