par̀ambụ (T. hill, aC. jungle, Tu. parpu, sand-bank) 1. Higher or dry ground laid out in terraces. 2. all fields too high for rice-cultivation. 3. an orchard, garden, compound കണ്ടം പ. കള്‍, ഉല്പത്തിയോ പറ ന്പോ, വെണ്പ. a plantain-orchard; a തികഞ്ഞ പ. contains the 4 ഉഭയം besides betel, plantains, bamboos KU.; പറന്പത്ത് ഉഭയം നിരത്തി; often പറന്പത്തേക്കു etc.; പെണ്ണുന്പി ള്ളയെ പറന്പത്തിന്നാട്ടിക്കിഴിച്ചു TR. from his estate. പറന്പത്തീയ്യന്‍, — ത്തെയ്യന്‍ Weṭṭ. paδar (T. = പതിര്‍) prh. = പൊതിര്‍ in പതര്‍മ്മ Rottenness as of rice through damp; softness of mind. fr. പതം, പതു. — കുരു പത ര്‍ന്നു the ulcer burst (loc. C. hadaru, to bud).

pāršvam S. (പര്‍ശു a rib). Side ഹിമ വല്‍ പാ. പുക്കാന്‍ Sank. Ach. അന്യായക്കാര ന്‍റെ പാ'ത്തില്‍ MR. (= പക്ഷം). മുതലിയാരെ തന്‍റെ പാരിശത്തില്‍ ആക്കി TR. gained over (Mpl. Tdbh.). പാര്‍ശ്വഗന്‍, പാര്‍ശ്വവര്‍ത്തി, പാര്‍ശ്വസേവി S. an associate, attendant.

piṭṭa T. M. = വിഷ്ഠ (പിണ്ടി, പിഴുക്കു) Excrements of rats, (C. piččike). പിട്ടം = വിട്ടം No. a cross-beam.

penattaγa B. To cackle as a hen.

pūḷuγa aM. (C. pūḷu & puḷu, Te. pūḍuču). To be buried ബാണങ്ങള്‍ പൂഴുന്ന തുണി Sk.; to stick in the mire, to be lost in the ground പ ണം പൂണു പോയി, also കാല്‍ ചളിയില്‍ പൂണ്ടു (sic) പോയി V1. see പൂണുക. — CV. പൂത്തുക q.v.
