KR. മരതകം (constantly = മരകതം). An emerald മ രതകയസ്തംഭങ്ങള്‍ KR. മ'ല്ലു Bhr. മരതി a Par̀ayar deity (= death?).

mēla So. Cannot (either V. neg. of മേല്‍ 3. = ഒല്ലാ, or corruption of വേല 3. 'it is difficult' = അരുതു). ഉരിയാടുവാനും മേലാ, ഓടു വാന്‍ മേലാഞ്ഞു, നടപ്പാന്‍ മേലാതായി PT. മേ ലായ്ക weakness.
