sūδaǹ S. (സൂ; G. seyō, to incite, send). 1. A charioteer; also carpenter. 2. the son of a Kšatriya from a Brahmani = ചാക്യാര്‍ a bard. സൂതമാഗധജനം KR. a commentator of the Shastras.

sādhāraṇam S. (സ). Common, general, applicable to many. സാ'മായി എല്ലാവരും ചെയു വരുന്നു vu. അവനെ ഒഴിച്ചന്യ സാ. അല്ല Nal. he only can do this. ലംബ ങ്ങള്‍ രണ്ടിന്നും സാ' മായിരിക്കുന്ന ഭ്രമി Gan. the common base. ഈനാട്ടിലുള്ള സാ' നടപ്പിന്നു ശരി MR. universal practice. സാധാരണ (mod.) general rule കൊടുക്കുന്നതു സാ. യായിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിലേക്ക് ഒക്കയും സാ. യും പ്രയന്തവും ഇവന്‍െറതാകുന്നു MR. the scheme and its execution. സാ.യായി ഉപയോഗിക്ക to use generally. സാധാരണ്യം S. common right or interest.

sūn/?/δam S. (സു). An excellent song, pleasant words yet true. സൂനൃതവാണി f., മാ നിനി തന്നുടെ സൂ'വാക്കു CG.
