čiraṭṭa P. M. (& ച V1., C. കരട) Cocoanut-shell, chiefly the lower half ആണ്മുറി, മൂക്കിന്മുറി; used for firing ചിരട്ടത്തീയിട്ടു a med. (ചി'ത്തീക്കൊത്ത ചൂടു intense heat; — കാണി ക്ക met. to energize). ചിരട്ടക്കരി B.; for begging അവന്‍ ൨ കൈയിലും നാലു ചി. പിടിച്ചു പോകും (curse); for drinking ചിരട്ടക്കള്ളെണ്ണി ക്കയറും TP. — മുട്ടിന്‍ ചിരട്ട the knee-pan.
