Inf. വേ. ത്തക്ക V1. useful, near & dear; so തനിക്കു വേണ്ടപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ KU. ഈ സ്വരൂപത്തിങ്കല്‍ വേ. പ്പെട്ട ആളുകള്‍ faithful Lords. ഞങ്ങളേ ജാതിയില്‍ വേ. പ്പെട്ട ആളുകളേ മുന്പില്‍നിന്നു TR. before head-men (Mpl.). 2. adj. part. (= വേണ്ടുവ) വേണ്ട വരം തന്നു Bhg. വേ. യാള്‍ a person required. ഏടുക്കേണ്ട ലക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ KU. കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ വേ ണ്ടവര്‍ Sah. (ellipsis of ചെയ്ക) who ought to sacrifice. — പട്ടിണി വേണ്ടതെല്ലാര്‍ക്കും ഉണ്ടായ്വ രും Sah. അരി ഏതാകുന്നു വേണ്ടതു? നിങ്ങള്‍്ക്കു വേണ്ടതൊക്കയും vu. എന്തു നാം വേണ്ടതു Bhr. വേ. തു തങ്ങളില്‍ ചെയ്താലും let them do to each other what they please. അര്‍ത്ഥവും വേ. തു സിദ്ധിച്ചീടും BR. the desired riches. അതേ തവ വേണ്ടതുള്ളു Anj. thy duty; the right (opp. വേണ്ടാത്തതു wrong) Bhg. വേണ്ടതില്ല is of no consequence, does not matter (വേണ്ടുവതില്ല KU. & വേണ്ടില്ല V1.) അതിന്നു വേ. vu. വേ. അതുകൊണ്ടു Mud. never mind. Treated adverbially മൂന്നുരു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നവന്‍ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കില്‍ ആരെ ങ്കിലും വേ. കൊന്നീടേണം VetC. അവന്ന് അല്പം വേ. he is pretty well, (also = is pretty well off). Also polite request അയച്ചാലും വേ. TR. it might be well to send; or question (വെച്ചാല്‍) വെണ്ടതില്ലേ vu. do you approve of (my putting) it (down)? —Tho opp. അ തിന്നു വേണ്ടതിപ്പോള്‍ Vil. that's now the chief thing. II.
