kāḍụ T. M. C. Tu. (Te. കാറു) VN. of കടു 1. Wilderness, wood, jungle (in പാലക്കാടു, കോങ്ങാടു etc. — opp. നാടു) — കാടുംപടലും; കാ ടായിട്ടുള്ള രാജ്യം കാടു കളഞ്ഞു നാടാക്കി TR.
