čaṇṇāḍam (Tu. ജംഗാല, Port. Jangada). Ferryboat, junction of 2 boats. ച. കെ ട്ടുക; ച'ത്തില്‍ കേററി TR. തോണികള്‍ ച' ങ്ങള്‍ വഞ്ചികള്‍ പടവുകള്‍ Bhr. also rafts.

nāġam S. 1. A snake, esp. the Cobra (fr. നഗ്നം?). മണി നാ'ങ്ങള്‍ കരിനാ'ങ്ങളും പു നഃ PR. (the latter a very large hooded snake). 2. myth, serpents with human faces, that once ruled in Kēraḷa KU. 3. an elephant (po.). നാഗകേശരം = നാഗപ്പൂ (or Pentapetes phœnicia Rh.). നാഗച്ചെന്പു B. pinchbeck. നാഗണത്തി V1. a bird. Tdbh. സ്ഫടം, ഫണം expanded hood of a snake പ. വിരിക്ക, താഴ്ത്തുക; also met. വെള്ളി കൊണ്ടുള്ള പാന്പിന്‍ പ.
