nāġam S. 1. A snake, esp. the Cobra (fr. നഗ്നം?). മണി നാ'ങ്ങള്‍ കരിനാ'ങ്ങളും പു നഃ PR. (the latter a very large hooded snake). 2. myth, serpents with human faces, that once ruled in Kēraḷa KU. 3. an elephant (po.). നാഗകേശരം = നാഗപ്പൂ (or Pentapetes phœnicia Rh.). നാഗച്ചെന്പു B. pinchbeck. നാഗണത്തി V1. a bird. (നാകണച്ചയനന്‍ RC. fr. നാകു, അണ, ശയനന്‍ = നാഗശായി). നാഗത്താളിV1. Trichosanthes anguina, (also = കുലച്ചില്‍). piḷarirγa (C. fear, Te. pēdu, C. Te. pēlike a splinter) 1. v. n. (transition thro' constructions like പാന്പു വാ പിളന്നണഞ്ഞു Nal.) to split, cleave വൃകോദരന്‍ ദുശ്ശാസനന്‍ മാരിടം പിളര്‍ന്നതു, മാരുതി കീറിപ്പിളര്‍ന്നു കുടി ച്ചൊരു മാരിടം Bhr. സൂ൪യ്യബിംബത്തെപ്പി. Nal. VN. I. പിള൪ച്ച splitting; a cleft etc. പിളര്‍ക്ക & പിളക്ക 1. v. a. To split, cleave, rend കഷ്ഠം പിടിച്ചു പിളര്‍ത്തശരീരം Sil. 2. v. n. അവള്‍ക്ക് ആനനം ചാലപ്പിളര്‍ത്തു കൂടി. CG. yawn (in pregnancy). എനിക്കു പുറം പിളര്‍ക്കുന്നു vu. splitting pain in the back. ദന്തനാളി അക ത്തു താന്‍ പുറത്തു താന്‍ പിളക്കും, a. med. അ സ്ഥ പി. No. = കടച്ചല്‍. നെഞ്ചു പി. (song) the heart rends = പുളര്‍ക്ക q. v. പിളര്‍ത്തുക = പിളര്‍ക്ക 1. VN. II. പിളര്‍പ്പു (& പിളപ്പു T.) a cleft, rent, crack; bit of a nut, vu. പുളപ്പ.

puḷaruγa (T. പോഴുക) = പിളരുക, പുളക്ക To split. 1. v. n. അദ്രികള്‍ പുളര്‍ന്നു പോം, മാനസം പുളര്‍ന്നീടും KR. ഭക്ഷിപ്പതിന്നു ഗുഹ പോലേ പു. HNK. 2. v. a. മലകളും വെട്ടി പ്പുളര്‍ന്നീടും ജനം KR. തുംബത്തെ പു. KR. പുളര്‍ക്ക 1. v. a. പെണ്ണുങ്ങള്‍ നെഞ്ചകത്തേ പുള ര്‍ക്കുന്ന പുഞ്ചിരി CG. 2. v. n. അതു നിനെച്ചു മാനസം പുളര്‍ക്കുന്നു KR.

phalam S. (fr. പഴം? or പല I.). 1. Fruit, esp. of trees. ഫലങ്ങള്‍ വെച്ചു TR. (doc.) to plant fruit-trees. അഞ്ചുഫലം KU. 4. fruit-trees (ഉഭയം) & rice (നിലം). 2. result, produce, consequence ഇല്ലൊരു ഫ. ഇനി Bhg. it can't be helped. നാം ഏതും ചെയ്തിട്ടും ഫ. ഇല്ല TR. no use; with 1st adv. പറഞ്ഞെന്തു ഫ., അണ കെട്ടീട്ടു ഫ. എന്തു KR. നാം സ്നാനത്തിന്നു പോ യിട്ടു ഫ. ഇല്ല KN.; ഫലം ചെയ്കയില്ല Nal. will not avail. വൈരെ ഏറുക ഫലം ChVr. (=ഫ. വരും) only greater enmity will ensue. നീ ച തിച്ചൊരു ഫലത്തിനാല്‍ ചതിച്ചു നിന്നേയും Bhr. as a reward for. സ്വദുസ്സ്വപ്നഫ. നിരൂ പിച്ചു KR. the import of. മുന്നം പറഞ്ഞുതില്ലേ ഭവിഷ്യല്‍ ഫലം AR. did I not foretell what futurity would bring? 3. the product in math. ലംബത്തെ ഭൂമ്യര്‍ദ്ധംകൊണ്ടു ഗുണിച്ചാല്‍ ക്ഷേ ത്രഫ. വരും Gan. ഫലകാംക്ഷ = ഫലാഗ്രഹം q. v.; greediness of gain. ഫലത്രയം S. = ത്രിഫല. ഫലപ്രദം S. fruitful. Bhg. ഫലപ്രാപ്തി S. advantage. ഫലമരം a fruit-tree തെക്കേദിക്കിലേ പോലേ ഫ'ത്തിന്നു പൊന്പണം നികിതി TR. ഫലമൂലം S. vegetable food of anchorets ഫ. തിന്നു നടക്ക KR. ഫലംവരിക to result മരണം ഫ'രും KR. ന ശിക്കേ ഫ'രൂ Bhr.
