iḷbhyam = ഇളിപ്പു; in V1. ഇളിപ്പിയം An affront. പാരം ഇളിഭ്യമാകുന്നിത് എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും Bhg 4. all will mock. ഇളിഭ്യം കലര്‍ന്നോന്‍ Bhg 8. was offended. ഇളിഭ്യം കലര്‍ന്നു ഖിന്നനായി നി ന്നു വിതുമ്മി Bhg. a cross child = ഇളിക. ഇളിഭ്യ൯ a fool = ഇളിച്ചവായന്‍.

Found in Tdbh.'s: before initial ര, ല, ട as ഇരാശി, ഇലവംഗം, ഇടക്ക; — instead of ഋ as ഇടവം; — inserted, as കാരിയം, വരിഷം. In Dravidian words it changes with ഉ as in ഇരു, ഇരി — glides into എ before Cerebrals & Liquids, as ഇടം, എടം; ഇര, ഇറങ്ങു, ഇല, ഇളയ etc. ഇ i 5.
