karuṇa S. (കരക്ക ?) Tenderness, pity, mercy കരുണാര്‍ദ്രാത്മാക്കള്‍ Bhr. — adv. അതി കരുണം പറയും, കരുണം വില പിച്ചു Bhg. piteously, അപകരുണം പിടിച്ചു തള്ളി Mud. mercilessly. — adj. & pers. N. കാരുണികന്‍, കരുണാകരന്‍ (also N. pr., കണാരന്‍ vu.) കരുണാശാലി Bhr. കരുണാനിധി, കരുണാംബുധി etc. moat merciful. കരുണാപ്പള്ളി N. pr. town in Travancore.

kuriγil (കുരുവി) 1. Small bird, sparrow കു. മാംസം സ്നിഗ്ദം GP. പുരയില്‍ കൂടു വെക്കുന്ന കു. = കൂരിയാററ GP. മലങ്കു. falcocheela, kite. 2. T. M. കുരികില്‍താളി Connarus monoculus, പെരുങ്കു. Omphalobiumpinnatum, ഭ്രാന്തന്‍ കു. a poisonous kind.
