čēna T. M. (C. ശേ — abundant, S. സേ ന) A yam, Arum campanulatum GP. (അര്‍ശോ ഘ്നം S.). — Kinds: കാട്ടു — Arum gracile GP71., നാട്ടു —, നീലച്ചേ — Arum minutum, മുള്ളന്‍ — Dracontium polyphyllum, കൈപ്പെഞ്ചേനത്ത ണ്ടു പോലേ TP. ചേനപ്പൂ eatable; — വറുപ്പു an ഉപ്പേരി. ചേനത്തണ്ടന്‍ a venomous snake (similar to an Arum stem); — മണ്ഡലി or — വിരിയന്‍ the larger kind. ചേനത്തലയന്‍ B. bald headed.

čōγụ T. a M. (Te. C. Tu. സോങ്കു collision, possession, evil spirit) Demon അടുത്തു പൂത്ത ചോകിന്‍ കൂട്ടം RC. = Rāxasas.

čuḷuǰuḷē (= ചുടു) With sharp pain ചു. കുത്തുന്നു V1. ചുളചുളുക്ക, ത്തു to feel hot, irritated by the touch of nettles, leprosy; piercing pain.

čuṇḍa T. M. (C. സു — from ചുണ) Solanum pubescens (S. ചര്‍മ്മകശ skin-injurer) the fruits used as pickle GP. — ചുണ്ടങ്ങ opp. വഴു തിനിങ്ങ (prov.); it is considered of little value: ഒരു പച്ചച്ചു. or — ച്ചു'ങ്ങയുടെ മുതല്‍ കണ്മറിച്ചെ ടുക്കുന്നവനല്ല prov. did not filch even; etc. Kinds: കറിച്ചു.
