čavala So. Empty corn (ചാവി); T. So. hollowness, leanness.

čēna T. M. (C. ശേ — abundant, S. സേ ന) A yam, Arum campanulatum GP. (അര്‍ശോ ഘ്നം S.). — Kinds: കാട്ടു — Arum gracile GP71., നാട്ടു —, നീലച്ചേ — Arum minutum, മുള്ളന്‍ — Dracontium polyphyllum, കൈപ്പെഞ്ചേനത്ത ണ്ടു പോലേ TP. ചേനപ്പൂ eatable; — വറുപ്പു an ഉപ്പേരി. ചേനത്തണ്ടന്‍ a venomous snake (similar to an Arum stem); — മണ്ഡലി or — വിരിയന്‍ the larger kind. ചേനത്തലയന്‍ B. bald headed.

čapparam T. C. Te. M. (ചപ്പു ?) 1. čoṇgu 1. (C. സൊ. — = ചൊക്കം) Beauty, elegance. — ചൊങ്കന്‍., ചൊങ്കത്തി f. beautiful (as men, elephants, etc.). 2. (= ചു ങ്ങു) withered; ചൊങ്കുകയ്യന്‍ & ചൊങ്ങയ്യന്‍ V1., ചൊങ്കന്‍ B., who has a withered hand.
