čēval T. So. (C. കേവു coitus, see ചേ കുക or ചെവ്) Cock, male of birds (ചേ'ലും പിടയും). ചേവല V1. child at the breast (?).

čiṇgi T. So. (f. of ചിങ്കന്‍ a forester = കു റവന്‍)—ചിങ്കിക്കളി a play V1. ചിങ്കൊത്തു Kur̀avas' play with snakes. ചിങ്കിനൈ So. a poisonous mixture (of arsenic T.). മറുതാശിങ്കി litharge B. (T. മൃതാര ചിങ്കി).

Inf. of ചാലു (T. C. Te. to be full, sufficient, Tu. & C. also സലെ) 1. Richly, fully; ചാലവരുത്തവന്‍ വാഞ്ഛിതം, ചാല ജ്വ ലിച്ചു, ഞാന്‍ ചാലപ്പറയുന്പോള്‍ ആയുസ്സു പോ രാ Bhr. = ഏറ. 2. also softly, gently ബാലക നെ ചാല നല്കി CG. = willingly; also straight on V1. (as if from ചാല്‍). Often ചാലവേ, ചാ ലവും.

čēyal see ചേകല്‍. ചേയി = ശേഷി TP. ചേയിപ്പു = ശേഷിപ്പു TP.

čēla (S. ചേലം) 1. Cloth, esp. of women, f. നൂതനയായൊരു ചേല CG. പട്ടുനൂല്‍ ചേ. ക വര്‍ന്നു CG. പൂഞ്ചേല Bhr. (of a queen). 2. rough cloth = ചീല — so ആനച്ചേല elephant's covering V1. 3. No. boards joined to low-sided boats (ചേല കെട്ടുക). ചേലപ്പുടവ V1. a cloak, covering sheet. ചേലമരം Indian fig-tree, the bark of which serves as sackcloth (ചേല ചുററുക). ചേലാഞ്ചലംകൊണ്ടു മൂടി അണിമുഖം KR 3. veil, gaze.
