čamattaǹ (Tdbh. സമര്‍ത്ഥന്‍) and

čuḷḷal V2. A chip, fuel-stick. ചുള്ളി T. M. (Tu. തു —) 1. dry spray, sprig, brush-wood കിടാക്കള്‍ ചു. യും വടിയും ക ളിക്കും TP. 2. a thorny plant; കരച്ചു. Randia dumetorum, വയല്‍ച്ചു. Tribulus lanuginosus or Barleria, നീര്‍ച്ചു. čēṇṇōl Palg. (ചെവ്കോല്‍) = കോ രപ്പുല്ലു. The grass from which Palghsut-mats are woven (വെള്ളപ്പായും മന്ത്രിപ്പായും).

čeδal (see ചിതല്‍ C. Te. ചെദല്‍) White ant. വെഞ്ചെത(ള്‍)ക്കൊള്‍ക of worms engendered in a box.

čappaḍa Te. C. H. Flat (S. ചപടം flat palm); Hence: ചപ്പടാച്ചി designing flattery, coaxing; inventing lies V1. ച. യായി നിലവിളിച്ചു Cal. cried outrageously for mere play (B. also threatening). ചപ്പട്ട 1. vapid, flat, insipid ച. ക്കാര്യം of an unsubstantial business. 2. bark of trees.

čōraṇam S. (ചുര്‍, L. fur) Theft ചോ. ചെയ്വാന്‍ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല PT. (= ക പ്പാന്). ഭാര്യയെ ചോ. ചെയ്തു KR. ചോരന്‍, (f. — രിണി) athief. ചോരവിദ്യേക്കു ഫലം ഏതുമില്ല Bhr. an art, surreptitiously acquired (= ചതിച്ചു പഠിച്ചുള്ള).

čēnduγa So. To cut slantingly (ചെ ത്തു, ചായി). ചേന്തി N. pr. of men.
