čapparam T. C. Te. M. (ചപ്പു ?) 1. D. 1788) ചേലാ വന്നു; ൬൪ആമ തില്‍ ചേലാവത്തില്‍ വേണാട്ടുകരെക്കു വാങ്ങി TR. ചേലാവില്‍ കൂടി he turned Muhammedan. ചേലാവുകാര്‍ Muhammedans.

čēruγa T. M. Te. (Tu. C. ശേ —) 1. To approach, come close. ആയുധം കാണ്കില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നു ചാവേന്‍ Pay. close with. പിഞ്ചേര്‍ന്നു ചെന്നാര്‍ Bhg. pursued. ഇവനോടിട ചേരു വാന്‍ Nal. to have commerce with. പരലോ കത്തു ചേരുവന്‍ Bhr. I go to heaven. 2. to join (as മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം a religion with Loc. & Soc.) രാ ജ്യം കുന്പഞ്ഞിക്കു ചേര്‍ന്നു TR. (= ആയിവന്നു). അവനു ചേര്‍ന്നവര്‍ TR. his adherents. 3. to belong to കുന്പഞ്ഞിയില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന ആള്‍ TR. a subject of the H. C. കുളം നിലത്തേക്കുചേര്‍ന്നതു MR. (= ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടതു). ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ നിലങ്ങള്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നതു TR. അതില്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നവന്‍ one of them. കാച്ചപാല്‍ ചേര്‍ന്ന പാത്രം CG. included (= ഉ ള്ള). വക ദേവസ്വത്തിലേക്കു ചേര്‍ന്നു, പ്രമാണ വും അതിന്നു ചേര്‍ന്ന എഴുത്തുകളും പുക്കവാറുക ളും TR. 4. to fit, suit ചേരുംവണ്ണം ഉള്ള ശി ക്ഷ, അതിന്നു ചേരുംവണ്ണം ശിക്ഷ ഉണ്ടു TR. adequate. നിങ്ങളില്‍ ചേരും ഏററം AR. you will suit each other marvellously. തമ്മില്‍ചേ രും agreeing well together. ചേരുന്നതേ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ നിരപ്പൂ Mud. speaking plausibly. പാല്‍ വെണ്ണ എന്നുന്പോള്‍ചേരുമത്രേ CG. it might be tolerated. ചേരാതൊരവസ്ഥ ചൊല്ലു ക Bhr. improper. ചേരുന്നവണ്ണം സ്തുതിച്ചു SG. worthily. അവര്‍ ചോദിച്ചതു ചേരുവോന്നെങ്ങ ള്‍ക്കു CG. unobjectionable. ചിന്തിച്ചു ഞാന്‍ എ നിക്ക ഏതുമേ ചേര്‍ന്നില്ല Nal. could not understand it. ചൊന്നതു ചേര്‍ന്നതില്ലെതുമേ KR. is not the case. — പണം ചേരുക V1. to become security for money.
