ńaḷuṇṇuγa (ചുളങ്ങുക, നടുങ്ങു) 1. To shake from damp, fear. 2. to speak diffidently. ഞളുക്ക (C. Te. T. ചളി cold & C. നണ്‍, Tu. നണ്ട) to be affected by cold or damp. മരു ന്നു, ഉപ്പു ഞളുത്തുപോയി, so also a pen, which grows too soft for writing. VN. ഞളുപ്പു, ഞളുപ്പം dampness. ഞള്ളു = ഞെഴുക a tree (med.), the leaves of which are used in തോല്‍ കെട്ടുക.

ńāyam Tdbh., ന്യാ — 1. Reason, right. ജാതിഞായം caste-rule. ഞാ. കൊണ്ടു വിസ്ത രിച്ചു TR., പണമരികേ ഞായം prov., കോപത്തി ന്നു ഏതുമേ ഞാ. ഇല്ല CG. no cause for. 2. complaint. ചക്കകട്ട ഞാ. വിസ്തരിപ്പാന്‍ TR. complaint about a jackfruit. അവരുടെ ഞാ. അവരു ടെ ജാതിയില്‍ തന്നേ തീര്‍ത്തു കൊളളുന്നുണ്ടു TR. ഞാ'വും കൂട്ടവും quarrel. — esp. ഞായം കൊ ടുപ്പിച്ചു TR., ഞായം ചൊല്ലി ഒഴിക്ക to divorce, dissolving a connexion before arbitrators. ഞായഹീനന്‍ ചെന്നു Sk. defeated, ashamed. 3. custom, common way. കാട്ടിലേ കോ ഴിക്കേ ഞാ. ഇല്ലേതുമേ വീട്ടിലേ കോഴിക്കേ ഞാ. ഉളളു CG. crowing regularly. ഉത്സവം കൊളേള ണം വിണ്ണവര്‍ നാഥനു വത്സരംതോറും എന്നു ണ്ടു ഞാ. CG. — hence: 4. adv. വിളക്കെങ്ങനെ കുപ്പിയെ വിളക്കി ഞായം CG. as generally a light makes the chandelier to shine, എവിടേ ഇരുന്നു ഞായം V1., ഏതൊരുദിക്കില്‍ അധിവ സിച്ചു ഞാ. Bhg. where do you commonly live? ഗോകര്‍ണ്ണത്തില്‍ ഇരുന്നു ഞാ. മുന്നം Brhmd. ത പോബലം കൊണ്ടു വരങ്ങളെ പലരും വരിച്ചു ഞാ. പുരാ, ഞാന്‍ ബാഹുബലംകൊണ്ടു വാ ങ്ങുന്നു UR. others used to gain their wishes by penance, I by force. ധീരന്മാര്‍ ഇങ്ങനേ ചെയ്തു ഞാ. Bhr. — similarly esp. with എന്നു like, as; ഞായം നല്കിനാന്‍ പട്ടാങ്ങു ചെയ്യു ന്നോര്‍ എന്നു ഞാ. CG. he kept his word like the truthful.

ńeṇṇuγa (C. നെഗ്ഗു) & ഞ — (C. നള to be mellow) 1. To become soft or mellow, malleable as gold. 2. to yield, sink. ഞെക്കുക (V1. ഞെള്‍ക്കുക = ഞെരുക്കു) 1. to press, strangle (Tu. നുക്കു). കഴുത്തു ഞെക്കുന്ന ദേ ഹരോഗം a. med. പിടിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഞെക്കീടാ ഞ്ഞാല്‍ prov. 2. to squeeze, crush, നഖ ത്തില്‍ ആക്കി ഞെക്കിക്കൊന്നു (a louse); to make impressions with the thumb. ഞെക്കിപ്പ ഴുപ്പിച്ച പഴം പോലെ prov.; ഞെക്കിനോക്ക.

ńāǹ (aT. Tu. യാന്‍., T. C. നാന്‍, Te. നേന്‍) I. ഞാങ്കാലം prov. in my time. ഞാന്നീ യായിട്ടു മേല്‍കോയ്മസ്ഥാനം നടത്തി KU. with identified interests. pl. ഞാങ്ങള്‍ old & hon. = ഞങ്ങള്‍ we; even in obl. cases, ഞാങ്ങളെകൈക്കു TR. (Rāja), vu. ഞാളു, Dat. ഞാക്കു TP. The other pl. is നാം (including the addressed party), with vu. Dat. ഞമ്മള്‍ക്കു.

ńamuṇḍnγa (C. നവുടു to rub) To squeeze; knead, f. i. rice with curry as Brahmans do in eating. പാലില്‍ പുഴുങ്ങി ഞമുണ്ടി a. med. (also ഞമിണ്ടുക No.; see ഞെവിണ്ടുക). ഞമ്മള്‍ Mpl. = നമ്മള്‍.

ńarambụ (& ന —) Sinew, tendon. പിത്തം ഹൃദയത്തുനിന്നു ഞ. കളില്‍ ഓടിക്ക Nid. arteries. വായു പെരുഞ'ലും ചെറുഞ'ലും ചെന്നു Nid. nerves. — കോട്ടഞരന്പു a frown —. ഞരന്പുവലി spasm, cramp. V2. ഞരന്പുവൃണം the Guinea worm. ഞരി = നരി; ഞരിമീന്‍ V2. A fish, port. Naire. ഞറിയുക = ഞെ — q. v. പുരികം ഞറിഞ്ഞു ചമഞ്ഞു Bhr. Wrinkled.

ńaṇuṇṇuγa So. (C. നഗ്ഗു) To be bulged, crushed. ഞണുക്കുക, ക്കി v. a. to bulge, to crush. ഞണുഞണുക്ക, ത്തു So. To be sticky, clammy.

ńōḷa (No. നോള.) Saliva, ഞോള ചാടുക Nid 22. = കേഖ

H. ṭappāl, & തപ്പാല്‍ Post; relay of bearers. (Mahr. ടപ്പാ stage). — ട'ച്ചാവടി post-office; ട'ക്കാരന്‍ a post-man; ട'ക്കൂലി etc.
