toṇṇal T. M. C., (തൊങ്കുക = തൂങ്ങു ക). Hangings, drapery; a tassel V1., തോ. ഇടു ക to fringe; see തോങ്കല്‍. തൊട, തൊടങ്ങു, തൊടര്‍ (തൊടുക), see തു. തൊടി So., Palg., തൊടിക Cal. (see foll.) = തോട്ടം.

M. 1. v. n. to rebound, reooil, fly in pieces ശൃംഗങ്ങള്‍ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്ക Nal., (from heat etc.) TP., so പാത്രം (over the fire). to fly out, as sparks. തെററിത്തെറിച്ചുപോയി he lost himself altogether. ഒരു തുള്ളി തെറി ച്ചിതു ദേഹത്തിന്മേല്‍ Mud. 2. to splash, sputter ചേററില്‍ അടിച്ചാല്‍ നീളത്തെറിക്കും prov.; തൂവുകകൊണ്ടു നീര്‍ തെ. 3. v. a. to make to fly off ചക്രം എറിഞ്ഞു കഴുത്തു തെ.
