tōranam S. (തോര്‍) 1. A triumphal or ornamental arch, gate-way കാഞ്ചനതോ. എടുപ്പിച്ചു, നിവിര്‍ത്തി etc.; തോരണദ്വാരം Nal.; അണിത്തോ. SiPu. entranoe of the stage. 2. ornamental lines, strings of leaves & flowers hung across the streets or over the door-way. തോ. കെട്ടുക. 3. a post with an inscription or device V1., (as അതിര്‍തോ. V2.), തോ. കുത്തു ക, നാട്ടുക. 4. as much space as can be reached with the eyes V1.

tumbam 1. The wall of a native compound (see തുന്പ 2.), loc. 2. = തുന്‍പം.

turaṇgam Tdbh., സുരഗം (but compare തുരക്ക). Amine in fortification, claudestine opening made in a wall. കള്ളന്‍ തു. വെക്കുന്നു vu.; വീട്ടില്‍ തു. വെച്ചു കേറി Arb. (and വീടു തു രക്കല്‍, തുരവു വെക്ക house-breaking).

tōkkuγa No. (T. തോയ്ക്ക to dip in, bring together; contr. of തുകക്ക, തുവെക്ക; C. ദൊഗെയു to dig out, burrow). To bore a hole into any vessel or fruit containing a fluid. പാ ല്ക്കുഴ മെല്ലവേ തോക്കും, പാക്കുഴ തോത്തതു, തോ ക്കുകൊണ്ടണ്ണാര്‍ന്നു വായും പിളര്‍ന്നു CG. (ഇളന്നീര്‍ ചെത്തി, but) തേങ്ങ തോത്തുകുടിക്ക vu. to open & drink a cocoanut.

tūr̀uγa (T. to drizzle, grumble, C. Te. to enter). To go to stool. നീ തിന്നു തൂറുകയോ അ ല്ല തൂറിത്തിന്നുകയോ, തൂറാത്തവന്‍ തൂറിയാല്‍, തൂറിയോനെ പേറിയാല്‍ prov. VN. തൂറല്‍.— CV. തൂറിക്ക (vu.) തൂറി N. pr. male. തൂററല്‍ 1. drizzling rain, (Te. തുവ്വര). 2. diarrhœa. തൂററുക T.M. (C. Te. തൂറു) 1. to scatter, as the wind. കാററു മേല്പെട്ടു നൂററിങ്കോലല്ലല്ലോ തൂ ററിക്കളഞ്ഞതിപ്പൈതല്‍ തന്നേ CG. blew him more than 100 yards high. 2. to fan & winnow grain, പാററിത്തൂററി & തൂററിപ്പാ ററി. — to open & shut the eyes with pain (ophthalm.). 3 to abuse, blame കിടാവി നെ ചീററം പൂണ്ട് ഏററം തൂററിനിന്നീടി നാന്‍ CG.
