tānam 1. S. (തന്‍, G. tonos) A keynote. താ. പാടുക = വഴിപ്പാട്ടുപാടുക & താച്ചു പാടുക. 2. Tdbh. ദാനം f. i. താ. കഴിക്ക to do penance. 3. Tdbh.; സ്ഥാനം rank, position, താ. കളക to lose credit, താ. പറക to speak with a feeling of one's importance, താ. വരുത്തുക to take revenge, താനമാനം അറിക to be wellbred V1. 2. താനക്കിഴി an offering in a small bag, presented at a temple (സ്ഥാനം).

tavụ = താഴ് q. v. A bolt, lock. വടിക്കു താ വു തീര്‍ക്കും അന്പുകൊല്ലന്‍ KN. insert shutters (for arms, amulets, etc.) in sticks, shafts.

tavala T. (C. Te. തപലൈ) A small cooking vessel of brass, also തകല.

tōṇi Tdbh., ദ്രോണി 1. A trough, bathing tub. 2. aboat തോ. മറിഞ്ഞാല്‍ പുറം നല്ലു, ഇ രുതോണിയില്‍ കാല്‍ വെച്ചാല്‍ prov.; a sea-boat കടലില്‍ പെരുമാറുന്ന തോണി ഓടംവക MR. (taxed); a ferry-boat തോണി കടത്തുക KN. (work of Muγyar). യമുനയില്‍ തോണി കളിച്ചു SiPu. went boating. — തോണിക്കാരന്‍, — ക്കൂലി, — പ്പുര etc.

taḷir T. M. Te. aC. (S. തളുനം = തരുണം?). A bud, new leaf, shoot ഇളതായീടും ത. Bhr.; പുത്തന്‍ ത'രായ്മെത്തുന്ന ചോരിവാ CG. — അക തളിര്‍, കാല്‍ത്തളിര്‍ etc. met. for what is tender, attractive. തളിര്‍ക്കുല B. a compound pedicle. v. n. തളിര്‍ക്ക To bud, sprout, get fresh leaves നന്നായി മുളെച്ചു തളിര്‍ത്തിതു പേരാല്‍ Bhr.
