tēkkụ T. M., (Tu. C. തേഗു, Te. ടെകു). The Teak tree, Tectona grandis. Kinds: ക ല്ലന്‍ — the best, കോല്‍ — small, ഉമി — or നെയി — large, but of inferior value. Quite different plants are: ചെറുതേക്കു Clerodendrum siphonanthus (or serratum — B. Siph. ind.), വെണ്ടേക്കു & വെന്തേക്കു Lagerstrœmia microcarpa, both poor timbers; വെണ്ടേക്കിന്‍റെ തി രുള്‍ a. med. I.

taša T. aM. = തക, ദശ Proud flesh. തചെ ക്കും അതു തേക്ക a. med.

tuyyam = തുച്ചം 2.

tāral B. = താരണം 2. Dandruff.

tumb/?/uru S. N. pr., A Gandharva, നാ രദന്‍ തു. സാകം ചിരിക്കയും Bhr. തുമ്മനേ Palg. (അന & Inf. of foll., T. also to revive, aC. ദൊമ്മളിസു to frisk) Briskly (f.i. നടക്ക, തെളിക്ക).

tāvuγa T. aM. 1. To rush in upon, തറയില്‍ താവിനാന്‍, എഴത്താവി കൊടുമയില്‍ നടന്നാര്‍ RC. അന്തര്‍ഭാഗേ താവിനാന്‍ Bhg. പൂമേനിയില്‍ താവി വരുന്ന തെന്നല്‍ CG. the zephyr blowing on him. 2. to spread തന്‍ മുഖത്തില്‍ താവുന്ന ലാവണ്യപീയൂഷം CG.; പൂമ ലരില്‍ താവുന്നോരാനന്ദത്തേറല്‍ CG. 3. = താ ഴുക to sink, fall താവുന്ന രോമങ്ങള്‍, നാകികള്‍ മൌലിയില്‍ താവി നിന്നീടുന്ന മണി CG. താവും എള്‍പ്പൂവിനുള്‍കോഴ കൊണ്ടീടെഴും നാസിക Anj. the nose compared to the drooping sesamflower.

tīruγa 5. (fr. തീര്‍) 1. To be completed, perfected. ദേഹം മുഴുവനേ തീരുന്നതിന്‍ മുന്പേ Bhr. ere fully formed. അവളില്‍നിന്നു ബുധന്‍ തീര്‍ന്നു Bhr. was born. തീര്‍ന്നു വരുന്ന ഉറുപ്പികTR. the sums accruing. കാര്യം ഇവിടുന്നു തീരായ്കകൊണ്ടു TR. cannot be settled by me. കാര്യം തീര്‍ന്നു the question is solved. — അവന്‍ മരി ച്ചുള്ള ചാവു തീരേണം TP. he must be avenged. ഇളപ്പം തീരുവാന്‍ to have the disgrace atoned for. കൊന്നാല്‍ പാപം തിന്നാല്‍ തീരും prov. is expiated. എന്നാല്‍ കൈവിഷം തീരും a. med. will be remedied. ശാപം തീരാ Bhr. 2. to be finished, to cease. തീര്‍ന്നിതല്ലോ Bhr. they are done for, dead. മുടിക്കിലേ കോപം തീരു CG. only his death can end my wrath. അത്തലും തീര്‍ന്നു നടന്നാര്‍ CG. happily restored. ശാപം അല്പകാലംകൊണ്ടു തീരും, ശാപം തീരാ Bhr. to come to an end. 3. aux V. 1. to become, turn out ദുഷ്ടനായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു, മഹാദിവ്വനായീത. etc. 2. with a. v.: to come to an end. മരം മുറിച്ചു തീര്‍ന്നാല്‍ TR. when the felling is over.
