taγaḍụ a M. = തകിടു. തകടി broad, plain; table-land (So.), തകടി പ്പുറം B. — തകടിപ്പുല്‍ a grass.

taṇṇaḷ (aM. T. താങ്കള്‍) pl. of താന്‍. 1. They themselves തങ്ങളില്‍ തങ്ങളില്‍ നോ ക്കിത്തുടങ്ങിനാര്‍ CG. വൃന്ദം തങ്ങളെ വന്നു പോ ന്നാര്‍ Bhr. the flock returned by itself (without the cowherd). തങ്ങളെ പോന്നു വന്ന യോ ഗസിദ്ധികള്‍ Bhg. unsought. 2. you (hon.); often താങ്ങള്‍. 3. honorary title of Head-Brahmans KU. — വാസുദേവന്‍ ത. തന്പുരാന്‍ MR. also a Sūdra distinction. — the Muhammedan high-priest at Ponnāni (descendant of Ali); head-priest in each Mosque. കുറുങ്ങോട്ടു താ. ത മ്മതിച്ചു തന്നു TR.

tar̀uγa T. M. Te. (C. തര്‍ഗു = തഴു) to sink, sink in. —1. To trickle down as water not poured right out B. 2. വാല്‍ തററിരിക്ക MC. to put the tail between the legs, പേടിച്ചു വാലുംതററി മണ്ടിയേന്‍ SiPu. 3. to be tucked in before & behind (= താറു), തററുടുക്ക to put on clothes by tucking in as Nambūris, native women, etc. കുഞ്ഞനും തററിങ്ങുടുക്കുന്നു TP. (for swimming). തറുതല T. So. No. low, trifling, fool-hardy, mischievousness. ത. പറക to speak indirectly, evasively. തറുതലക്കാരന്‍ a mischievous & fool-hardy man. തറുപ്പു V1. a brush. തറുവാങ്കം a. med. = സര്‍വ്വാംഗം.
