tēkkụ T. M., (Tu. C. തേഗു, Te. ടെകു). The Teak tree, Tectona grandis. Kinds: ക ല്ലന്‍ — the best, കോല്‍ — small, ഉമി — or നെയി — large, but of inferior value. Quite different plants are: ചെറുതേക്കു Clerodendrum siphonanthus (or serratum — B. Siph. ind.), വെണ്ടേക്കു & വെന്തേക്കു Lagerstrœmia microcarpa, both poor timbers; വെണ്ടേക്കിന്‍റെ തി രുള്‍ a. med. tulyam S. (തുലാ) 1.
