Tāmūδiri, vu. താമൂരി 'Samorin' Tdbh., സാമുദ്രി, (see കന്നല & ആല്‍ III.) the sea-king or ruler of Calicut. താമൂരിപ്പാട്ടില്‍ the ruling king. താ'ട്ടില്‍ തന്പു രാനെച്ചെന്നു തൊഴുതു TR.; താ'ട്ടുന്നു തീ പ്പെട്ടാല്‍ KU.

tavvu, & തബ്ബു (= തകുവു, തക്കം; C. ത വെ side; again) = തവണ. In M. a fixed time, term 1. No. in തവ്വുതോറും (doc.) i. e. ഓണം & വിഷു, the time for paying the കുടിപണം to the Janmi. 2. (മിഥുനം to കന്നി excepted) the time for paying the monthly installments of Govt. taxes, കുത്തുക etc.; ഇത്ര തവ്വായി തന്നുകൊ ള്ളാം So. = ഗഡു. 3. (Cal. to Palg.) f. i. ക്യഷി ക്കു, തൈ വെക്കാന്‍ നല്ല തവ്വു (vu. തൌ) the proper time for; so പോകുവാന്‍ തവ്വുണ്ടു V1. = തരം, also തവ്വുണ്ടെങ്കിലേ എടുക്കാവു Palg. unnoticed; തവ്വടക്കിപറക B. to speak to the purpose, to silence. 4. right, good തവ്വിതെ ന്നോ൪ത്തു VilvP.

tōyuγa T. M. (T. തുവ, whence തു വെക്ക; C. Tu. തൊയി & തോ moist) To dip, soak, unite. മഞ്ഞള്‍നിറം തോഞ്ഞ കൂറ, ശോ ണിതം തോഞ്ഞ ബാണങ്ങള്‍, ഗണ്ഡത്തില്‍ തോ യുന്ന വന്മദതോയം. met. ശീതം തോഞ്ഞീടുന്നാ തങ്കം CG. സമ്മതം തോയുന്ന നന്മൊഴി Anj. (= ഉള്ള). തോയ്ക്ക T. M. So. (T. തോയ്ക്ക to dip in, bring together, etc) 1. to temper iron = ഊട്ടുക. 2.
