(തന്‍) = തനതു His own; also തന്‍റു, in തന്‍റടക്കം decency. തന്‍റേടം (ഇടം) 1. self-competency & self-consequence. ത. കാട്ടുക, നടിക്ക, പറക to be of very independent manner. 2. common sense. ത. മറന്നു MC. from passion. ബുദ്ധിക്കു ത. വെക്കാത്തവള്‍ MR. still very young & easily influenced (not of age). തന്‍റേടക്കാരന്‍ person of independent mind; proud.

tandala (Tu. cudgel) in തന്തലക്കൊട്ടി Crotolaria retusa GP 62. see തെന്തല; തന്തല may be mere imitation of sound. തന്തിനാതി & തെ — (C. Tu. തന്തനതാന) humming a tune. ത'നാതിനാന്നു പാട്ടുമങ്ങു പാടി Kur̀awa song (തന്തിനാ എന്നു).
