Tāmūδiri, vu. താമൂരി 'Samorin' Tdbh., സാമുദ്രി, (see കന്നല & ആല്‍ III.) the sea-king or ruler of Calicut. താമൂരിപ്പാട്ടില്‍ the ruling king. താ'ട്ടില്‍ തന്പു രാനെച്ചെന്നു തൊഴുതു TR.; താ'ട്ടുന്നു തീ പ്പെട്ടാല്‍ KU.

tūvuγa T. M. (al. മുത്തി). 2. imitative sound തിത്യാദിരാഗ ങ്ങള്‍ VetC.; തിത്തിത്താ എന്നു വെക്കുന്ന നൃത്തം Anj.; തിത്തിത്തെ exclamation in dancing. തിത്തികൊടുക്ക a call of Par̀ayar thieves. ഏ കബുദ്ധിക്കു തിത്തികമമ്മ prov. a child's call. 3. T. sweetness (loc. തിത്തിപ്പു).

tamisram S. (തമസ്സു) Darkness.

tôṇgal (= തൊങ്ങല്‍). Drapery തോ' ലും തിരകളും Nal. മണിത്തോങ്കല്‍ SiPu. of a bed; plumage, pendulous ornament ഉമ്മത്തവും തോ'ലും തിരകളും Bhr. പീശ്ശാങ്കത്തിയുറയുടെ തോങ്കല്‍ a tassel of leather-stripes, toothpick, etc. dangling from the sheath of a knife. (Chēranāḍu).

tuḷasi S. (√ prec?) Holy basil, Ocymum sanctum GP 62. തുളസിച്ചോറു a. med. It serves, with Darbha-grass, for the funeral ceremonies of Brahmans. തു. മുതലായ അച്ചനാ പുഷ്പങ്ങള്‍ TR. — തുളസീദളവര്‍ഷവും കാണായി KumK. (from heaven). Kinds: കാട്ടുതു. Ocyraum adscendens, കര്‍പ്പൂര —, കൃഷ്ണ —, വെണ്‍ —, രാമ —, പെരുന്തു. Oc. polystachium, ശിവതു. Oc. tenuiflorum. തുളസീഭൂപന്‍ KM. the Tuḷu Rāja, (see തുളു). തുളസ്സല്‍ No. a kind of rice (middling).

tulayuγa (C. Te. Tu. തൊല്ഗു to move away) 1. aM. To be shaken = ഉലയുക, f. i. അര ക്കര്‍ ഉള്ളം തുലയുമാറു, അവനോടഞ്ചിത്തുലെന്ത് അകലവാങ്ങി RC. 2. to be at an end, വലി യോരുടന്‍ചെന്നാല്‍ തുലയും ദു:ഖം നൂനം PT.; വൃണം പഴുത്തു തു. Nid. (= തീരുക), so പാപം തു. Palg. — കണ്പു നല്‍ തുളുന്പു തുലെന്ത ചോകം RC grief, mitigated by tears. അവന്‍ തുലഞ്ഞു പോയി I got rid of him, (so തുലെന്ത ശൂര്‍പ്പണ ക RC.); euph. he died. VN. തുലച്ചല്‍ B. end, difficulty, prh. = തോല്വി; as തുലവു id., തുലയിവു നിശിചരന്നാക്കി നാന്‍ അന്പിനാന്‍ RC. a. v. തുലെക്ക (to drive away?), to consume, finish, അച്ചൊല്‍ മെയ്യെന്നുമാറു തുലെത്തനന്‍ കതൃത്തവരെ RC.
