To grow cold, to be cool, ചാലത്തണുത്ത വൃക്ഷം CG.; ഹേ അഗ്നി ഹനു മാന്‍ ലാംഗുലത്തില്‍ നന്നായ്ത്തണുക്ക നീ (also ബാലധിക്ക) KR.; തണുത്തുപോയി too cool. ത ണുത്ത നീര്‍ Bhr. = കുളുര്‍ത്ത വെള്ളം. 2. to be refreshed, assuaged, softened കോപിച്ച കോ പം തണുത്തവന്‍ ചൊല്ലിനാന്‍ KR. അവനു മ നം തണുക്കും ഏററവും, സുഹൃത്തുകളെ തണുത്തു നോക്കി KR. (tenderly). VN. തണുപ്പു 1. coldness, ത. കൊടുക്ക cooling remedies for cattle. 2. moisture. 3 മന സ്സിന്‍ തണുപ്പു comfort, appeasing. tuḍam (തുടു) 1. Stoutness, plumpness തുടം എഴുന്ന പള്ളിയന്പു, തു. കിളര്‍ന്ന മാമരം RC; also തുടവു, hence തുടവിയ ശരം RC. — തുടവന്‍ a stout, big person. 2. a liquid measure, 1/16 of an Iḍanga/?/i, (see foll.).

tir̀am T.C. (തെറം), Te. തീറു (manner, fr. തിറു) M. 1. Vigour, ability തി. കാട്ടുക B., തി റമുറും അരചന്‍ RC, വന്പടതിറത്തില്‍ നില്ക്ക ണം KR., തിറമോടെതിരിടും രഥികള്‍ Bhr., തിറമില്ലാത്തവന്‍റെ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചു കൊടു ത്തവര് VyM. 2. fine manner, stateliness, മുഖത്തിറം‍ = പ്രസാദം. തിറക്കേടു weakness. തിറങ്കണ്ണു (fr. തിറന്പുക?) the eye turned sidewards. തി'ണ്ണാല്‍ കണ്ടു saw but imperfectly. തി'ണ്ണാല്‍ നോക്കി viewed it superficially. തിറവു aM. = തിറം; hence adj. തിറവിയ strong (തി. ചിറ; തന്‍തേര്‍ തി. വഴിക്കുപൂട്ടി RC.)

taṭṭam 1. T. So. A flat plate. 2. (loc.) a pony, see II. തട്ടു. 3. (C. Te. ദട്ടി) long cloth tied round the waist, see തടുപ്പു) cloth as used for veils etc. സുല്‍ത്താന്‍റെ ത. Ti.
