tańǰuγa (= തങ്ങുക) To stop, remain മഴ പെയ്തു വെള്ളം തഞ്ചിപ്പോയി No. collected in puddles. തഞ്ചീടും ധനം VyM.; അഞ്ചുനാഴി ക തഞ്ചുതില്ല Anj.; കിഞ്ചന തഞ്ചുകയില്ല നേര്‍ ആരിലും Sah.; നെഞ്ചകം എങ്കലേത. യാല്‍‍ CG. his mind fixed on me. നെഞ്ചില്‍ തഞ്ചിന ചഞ്ച ലനം GnP.— തഞ്ചിത്തഞ്ചി വന്നു hesitatingly. VN. തഞ്ചം (T. protection) 1. being at rest, posture തഞ്ചംതാഴുക to cower for shooting. തഞ്ചത്തില്‍ പററത്താണു വലിച്ചു KR. (the bow). നാലു കുട്ടികള്‍ ഒരു ത. പോലേ the same attitude, manner. കള്ളത്ത. കാണിക്കു ന്നു TR. a rebellious mood. 2. = തക്കം favorable season or moment, opportunity ത' ത്തിന്നു വളം വേണ്ട, പൂച്ച വീണാല്‍ ത'ത്തില്‍ always on her legs, prov. പയറു വാളേണ്ട തിന്നു ത'മോ vu. തഞ്ചം നോക്കി മാറി MR. biding his time or chance. തഞ്ചക്കാരന്‍ (2) a time-server. തഞ്ചക്കേടു unseasonable, unfavorable കാററും വേലിയും രണ്ടും ത. തഞ്ചു = തഞ്ചം opportunity. ആകുന്നതഞ്ചും വില ക്കി TP. as often as I could.

tūriyāḍuγa (S. ധൂര്‍ = തുരം). To labour hard, VN. തൂരിയാട്ടം B. — (or T. തൂരി a large net? fr. foll.)

taḷam 1. S. തടം, തലം. A flat pavement, low plain ക്വചില്‍ ത. കെട്ടി ഇളകാതേ ജലം KR.; വെള്ളം നില്ക്കന്നത. VyM.; കത്തളം & തളക്കല്ലു; കൊട്ടത്തളം. 2. a scaffold, loft V1., a hall മന്നവന്‍ തന്‍റെ തളത്തില്‍ കരേറിനാന്‍ RC. palace. The verandah surrounding a courtyard within the walls of a native house, കി ഴക്കിന —, വടക്കിന —, തെക്കിന —, പടി ഞ്ഞാററത്തളം. പുറന്തളം or മുന്തളം the outer eastern verandah, place of reception. പുറത്തളം തന്നില്‍നിന്നു വന്നു SG. തളം ഇട്ടിരിക്ക of mosaic. taγaruγa T. M. (C. to detain) fr. ത കര്‍ T. C. Tu. Te. ram, male animal. — v. n. To be crushed, smashed മണ്കുടം പൊട്ടി ത., ഫലങ്ങള്‍ ഉടഞ്ഞു തകര്‍ന്നു Bhg., കാളകള്‍ കുത്തി തകര്‍ന്നിട്ടു ധൂളി എഴുന്നു CG. തകരന്‍ huge, powerful, as a man, boar, etc. തകരന്‍മഴ strong rain. v. a. തകര്‍ക്ക 1. To smash, crush, demolish കുംഭം തകര്‍ത്താന്‍ CC., ദ്വാരകയെ വാരിധി വന്നു തകര്‍ത്തു CG., നല്ല മതിലും കിടങ്ങും ത. SiPu 2., ശാല തകര്‍ത്തു Sah. 2. v. n. to be noisy, to play boisterously കുരങ്ങുകള്‍ ചാടി തകര്‍ക്ക PT. തകര്‍ത്ത അടി, മഴ, കലഹം a hot fray, etc. ത കര്‍ത്ത പണി എടുക്ക No. = തകൃതി to strain every nerve. ചില വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു ഫലങ്ങളും തകര്‍ക്കും CC. break forth in great number. VN. I. തകര്‍ച്ച breaking in pieces. II. തകര്‍പ്പു loud noise, great profusion. ശാക്തേ യത്തിന്‍റെ ത. the great day of šakti worshippers.

trāṇam S. (ത്രാ = തര്‍ to bring through, save) 1. Preservation നിന്നുടെ പ്രാണത്രാണം ദു൪ല്ലഭം KR. അസ്ത്രങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടു പഞ്ജരം നി൪മ്മി ച്ചാന്‍ത്രാണത്തിന്നായി CG. for defence, ത്രാണ കാരണന്‍, ത്രാണനിപുണന്‍ Bhg. Višṇu expert in saving, പിന്ത്രാണം rearguard, convoy V2. 2. power, in കള്ളന്ത്രാണം, — ത്ത്രാ — etc. ത്രാണനം ചെയ്ക to protect V1. ത്രാണി T. So. = ത്രാണം 2. power, capacity. ത്രാതം (part.) preserved; ത്രാതാവു PP. saviour. Imp. ത്രാഹി O save! ത്രഹിമാം പാഹിമാം Bhg.

teruḷaγa T. To acquire clear perception (= തെരി). തെരുണ്ട പെണ്‍ = തിരണ്ട q. v. — Hence തെരുട്ടുക T. to acquaint, M. a part of the grand ceremony (തിരട്ടുകല്യാണം) performed with girls. തെര്‍പ്പ Tdbh. = ദര്‍ഭ.
